I beaten P3 recently. I feel like I been tricked, since nothing really happened until end of the game and none of the cast really hit of being interesting except for Shinji, who got killed off anyway.
Also it's insanely easy to break the game due to stat boosters, making the difficulty and bosses irrelevant. And it's not like it's some secret trick compared to Persona 2, instead you can easily get maxed mag and agility if you want to and get powerful spell cards.
Also the final boss was probably the most annoying boss ever since you have to beat him 13 times in a row instead of simply giving him a large pool of health.
But overall, the game isn't that good.
It's mostly just nostalgia since P3 is the game that made Persona what it is today, except 4 & 5 did everything better.
There's barely any interaction between the characters, same-sex party members don't get social links and most SLinks in the game just suck.
I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they ported 4 to Steam instead of 3 is because they're in the process of remaking it.

Complaints about aged gameplay are valid points, but not getting anything from the story is pretty npc. Theme is timeless and can be applied universally. Out of all 3 new gen personas 3 has the most compelling story, at least over mystery incorporated vs the world or acrobatic crime fighting squad

So what’s the deal with Izanagi? I got it to level 11 and it won’t learn anything upon leveling anymore. Will I get an upgraded one someday or should I just fuse it with something?

No; Personas are intended to be fused. Keep fusing Personas.
It's not like Pokemon. He will get levels and stat increases, but he'll never learn anything new, unless you use skill cards. Personas are expendable in this game and you should fuse them after they stop being useful to you.
Marie would be better off with Sho
I always keep him for lore autism. Has the game not mentioned skill cards yet? P4 is the only game where a starter is viable endgame with proper training/growth skills and skill cards

When you get sword cards in shuffle time you get skill cards, use those to beef him up if you want to keep them. Give them to Marie first for the compendium.
What the hell was her problem?
Why go the extra mile to have new winter costumes for the characters but not for Marie? Also, most of the costumes suck compared to P5R's.

Izanagi is pretty weak, you are supposed to constantly change personas. Though you can also make a high level persona with a bunch of useful skills, downgrade it into Izanagi and feed him a lot of shuffle time cards to make him OP as fuck. Or just use Izanagi from level 1 and feed him all the cards you get - but you also have to farm a lot of skill cards.
Here is mine - nothing special yet, but I'm working on it.

As and say, it is possible to increase a starting Persona's stats and skills through growth skills obtained from shuffle and skill cards, but it will take you vastly way, way more time and effort than just fusing and getting a new Persona with similar or better stats.
