I just started playing Dragoon not that long ago because of a 3 hour review of the game popped up in my recommended. So I just decided to play it and wow was I blown away. I just got a physical black label copy in the mail and I'm on my second play through now

I beat Xenoblade DE, including completing colony 6 and beating all the superbosses which I didn't do in the original. Starting FC now, Melia sounds different but I honestly wouldn't notice it as much if they didn't reuse the old battle voice lines.

I mean it’s ez tactics. I’ve played the game so many times so I usually skip the stories but they’re fine, some are pretty good and some are dogshit. It’s also a little animu but whatever story is dumb anyway. If you’re gonna start anywhere start at 7 or 9 because those are as close to the “classic” features without all the jank. 8 is ez because it’s the first game you can really grind in, and 4 and 5 are the more difficult ones with a few new wacky features thrown in. So 8 If you want a forgiving experience, 4,5 or 10 if you want the weirder shit but I’d recommend 7 or 9. Avoid the ds games besides SoV, that ones good

Have fun, they’re pretty fun. I’ve been playing since they got localized and replay them all regularly. It isn’t the greatest series ever, I recognize all the little flaws but it’s probably my favorite and most played franchise.

So I downloaded a PSP2PSX eboot, popped it into my PS Vita and 2 months later I beat the game. It was amazing.

Legend of Dragoon was my shit back in the day, I played my cousins copy when I was 11 or so and she got mad at me for 'taking it for to long' because I was thoroughly enjoying it. So I went to her house while she was at work and stole it and because I was a dumbass 11 year old I broke her playstations 'lid' off and opened the fridge and left it open. Neither her nor her mom ever called the cops to investigate and I continued enjoying LoD. I never played it when she was around, but she moved away about 8 months later to live with a drug addict who put 3 stillborns in her.

I generally find PC emulation of 5th gen games upward to be unreliable, you never know when you're going to hit a performance hitch or find a graphical glitch. Sony struck gold with their PS1 emulation on PSP to the point that it's near identical to playing on an actual PS1.
Mednafen on the other hand with my piece of shit laptop can run almost any 2D game just fine. With a gig of Vram and another 2 cores of CPU I could probably run just about every single PS1 game on the system. So you have that option as well if you don't want to fork over your cash, Mednafen is a completely acceptable way of playing the game.

Their damage output is pretty low and the healing is not worth it.

Shana and Miranda are used primarily for using magic attack items. Outside of that they're pretty useless unless you decide to use a cheese strat that makes them one of the best characters in the game. It's long, arduous, and takes way too long to get them to that point, but they apparently have some untapped potential

Their damage might be low, but anyone with a high speed stat was broken as fuck. There's a reason people shit on the BradyGames guide by having Kongol of all the party members for the final boss. At least I think it's BradyGames, I don't feel like pulling it out.

I had Kongol in my party for the final boss. I just really liked the concept of having a giant ass dude on my party so much that when I got him he was in my party for the rest of the game

tons of shitty writing, tone deaf environments with a tropical theme, repetitive shitty steel drum music, dumb names for things like "winglies", rose being the black monster is obvious from the first scene in the game, one good level in the entire disc (gravity valley area), additions being uneven for each character (dart and albert have 5 while meru has 1), dragoon levels are uneven for no reason, i could go on and on

I'm playing Disgaea 1 on PPSSPP and are about to start leveling up my R40 items as soon as I get my thief's level up to about 3500 to be able to steal from the Item God 2s! I'm haveing a lot more fun then I expected, last time I played this was around the release of the DS port.
