Danganronpa

He was in the right, constantly being reminded of hiw supposedly pathetic and basic yiu are would suck.
Instead of doing the izuru project, if I was hajime in the danganronpa world I would've Sudoku'd myself

ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER

Seppuku = sudoku

I dont feel like being an ultimate is that great. You are more or less a one trick pony and expected to form your entire personality around that gimmick.

It's all about the period you inhabit though, isn't it? The Ultimate Word Play implies either greatness or necessity. If there's no one else on the planet that can sew and the most you can make is a handkerchief, you're the Ultimate Tailor(the best tailor and also the last remaining tailor)

That also begs the question: are people who are talented but not "ultimates" even valued?
There are many talented singers, athletes, etc in real life, not just one
Do the people in the danganronpa world value them? I know Hope's peak wont give a Fuck

>It's all about the period you inhabit though, isn't it?
well assuming its prior to the events of danganropa where you are the absolute best at what you do in a global population it still doesnt matter. leon was the ultimate baseball player but his dream and passion was to become a rock star.

I can relate because I am really tall (6'9") and my whole life people have always asked if I play basketball (which I dont because I hate it). With a simple no people will get mad at me and start telling me that if they had my height they would have been able to go pro and follow their dreams and so on and so forth and literally hold a grudge against me for not doing that.

That's a good question, like what happens to other players in the same field? Do they just get brushed aside or do they become an ultimate in a particular thing like "the ultimate vocalist" as opposed to being "the ultimate musician" like Ibuki was (although I always thought that was bullshit for her to have that title)

This.
>“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”
-Robert A. Heinlein

Almost forgot, chiaki said something like this to 3 claiming that their talents are all that have. I thought it was strange but you might've added some insight into it

Yeah ultimate rockstar wouldve been more fitting for ibuki, musician is too general of a title.
I'm beginning to think headmaster kirigiri didnt see all these things through even without junkos nonsense

>I'LL NEVER LET ANYONE CHOOSE AGAIN
what did he mean by this?

>fiction cant change reality!
What did the ultimate "cosplayer" mean by this?
Also v3 was redpilled for showing the evil of cosplaythots

So I finished V3 and I don't understand all the outrage about the ending. The overarching plot has always been garbage anyway so revealing it was all a TV show anyway amused me more than anything.

I dont know why people hate tsumugi
She's an interesting allegory for both obsessive fans and greedy corporate heads

Some of them have several talents revolving around their position such as Sonia

>I'm beginning to think headmaster kirigiri didnt see all these things through even without junkos nonsense
I feel like the series uplays junko too much. like it would have been better that she was simply a candidate for ultimate despair as opposed to being THE ultimate despair. it would leave opportunity for other people to go for that title and give room for her failures.

I've only played 1 & 2 so far so maybe that gets addressed later but I was a little dissapointed with how 2 ended. Like it wasnt terrible but it didnt give us very little new stuff in terms of world building.

Hajime's pro-life

Hajime is a bitch, but within the cast of herbivore DR protags, he's the least whipped.

no that's wrong

just beat danganronpa 2 the other day. It was ok but I thought 1's cast and overall story was better. Nagito just took control of each debate besides 2-2. Atleast in 1 it felt like the smartest ones were working towards the answer. The actual gameplay was better in 2 though since it was more then just looking for contraditions. I thought Hajime's backstory was interesting but I thought he was underdeveloped, I never really saw him as insecure except for that flashback dream, and nagito annoying him in 2-4. I think most of the cast in 2 were underdeveloped in relation to the story.

Did Nagito see himself as part of the talented?

Shuichi did nothing wrong

He's weird, he thinks of himself as trash yet fully understands and uses his deus ex machina bullshit talent

>I think most of the cast in 2 were underdeveloped in relation to the story.
definitely. strangley enough DR2 is better with free time interactions (or at least I think so) but there is little to no details on their lost memories which is a big part of the story

>Did Nagito see himself as part of the talented?
>He's weird, he thinks of himself as trash yet fully understands and uses his deus ex machina bullshit talent

I wonder how much of Nagito's memories were actually lost to begin with or if he was really that far gone prior to joining HPA.

>It's all about the period you inhabit though, isn't it? The Ultimate Word Play implies either greatness or necessity.
that's just the translation, the literal japanese is 'super high school level' not ultimate.

The world falling into despair honestly reminds me of the end of the joker movie

Hajime was annoying. All he did was whine and cry that he wasn't good enough, then got transplanted all the talents and not out of his own effort.

Taka is so based

I think the ultimate imposter was the best way of showing this "stuck to a talent" problem atleast in his fte's
