You know there's people at Ubisoft designing damage marker arrows and discussing all day long about the correct shape and color so it won't hurt the feelings of some random culture halfway around the world? Some 15 years ago, some guy would design this and make it work in 10 minutes tops. Don't use the west as a reference, nips aren't exceptional, they just do proper work instead of virtue signaling, that's it.

even before the woke SJW era, good western games were the rare exception, not the rule. it's really just a fundamental cultural difference where one side views gaming as a medium worthy of respect, while the other side views it as lowbrow shlock you have to settle for when you can't make it in the "better" mediums. japan loves making games and the west resents making games, and it shows from the results.

The absolute cope. Those games are the equivalent of me naming 5 random indie games on steam. It means absolutely nothing. None of the games listed are worth playing or even remotely relevant. Yeah, even some "movie" games like Metal Gear Solid still include compelling mechanics with systems to master.
Even in story heavy Japanese games it is usually impossible to progress unless you learn how to play the game.
Western games are made to sell and appeal to the lowest common denominator, this is why many modern western games are awful to play at higher difficulties, even the developers haven't finished the game on those.

Crunching is seen as a bad thing because snowflakes in west aren't accustomed to hardworking. It's literally lifestyle of Japs.

Eredin was an awful boss fight, but it would be misleading to use him as a representation of W3's bosses.
All decent bosses in W3 are in the DLC. While not offering much to master in terms of difficulty W3 still did combat much better than the likes of Skyrim.
