there's literally nothing wrong with Unity and your jaded views on it come from amateur indie devs and patreon leeches who have no idea how to code properly

Unity is highly flawed an lacks of versatility. The scene loading mechanic is way too slow for what you actually change, and you can't access some key part of the game loop, (like, for instance, the main loop), so doing some trivial shit becomes overcomplicated and it really feel like the best way to code is to trick the engine all the time instead of using its features. It's just tiring. Keep it for prototyping and phone games that fit in one screen.
