He literally hyped it up as a new psi update intended to make it more interesting, and instead he just literally destroyed every build that uses it and made any full psi unplayable.

A full psi. Of course, again, that's impossible now since you get a 40% psi cost increase for having multiple schools and only 6 slots for abilities, and need a consumable just to swap out those slots.

This exactly. The actual nerfs are fine, brings some of the more cheesable powers down a peg, but the rest of the update only serves to make sure you now suck ass at doing the thing the entire build is devoted to doing.
