Here's a hot take: Fallout 3 is bad and New Vegas is mediocre. Fallout 3 is an abomination of an engine, terrible storyline, piss poor shooting, and bad RPG mechanics. New Vegas takes something as abominable as Fallout 3's core mechanics and engine and makes something salvageable out of it.
