Halo 5 multiplayer is unironically really fun and makes the older ones seemed super slow and dated, although I still enjoy them. 2 had the most interesting plot and music but CE’s story was based on discovery and mystery and you could argue that it was the best in that regard
>Halo 5 multiplayer is unironically really fun and makes the older ones seemed super slow and dated Slow sure, but dated? Absolutely not. They still feel fine.
Yeah 2 VS 1 is down to if you like the superior environments, better setpieces, lack of backtracking, and more intriguing plot of 2 versus 1's mystery, excellent self contained story, and horror elements. 2 is definitely hurt by the crunch involved but it still has the most solid campaign levels with minimal recycled content. It's such a shame 3 was a big step backwards somehow even if it still has its moments and Reach's campaign is just embarrassing.
Juan Richardson
halo 2 had a shit story are you actually retarded? its literally comparable to halo 5s story.
Christian Gonzalez
My ranking is pretty similar, but I'd put Reach higher. The last couple levels were too badass, and I think the multiplayer is really fun despite the issues.
Hudson Campbell
Weak bait multiplayer goes 2>3>1 (Using gamespy arcade tunneling to spoof system link).
4 and 5 don't even belong on the list, although you could put 5 on its own list of decent multiplayer games that aren't halo
>ranks odst below the trilogy >this makes him an odstnigger

Halo 3 has the best and most consistent level design in the whole series. Every level offers something new and awesome. The Storm automatically makes it the best alone, and that's not considering Sierra 117 and The Ark.
crows nest sucked >go kill some guys >come back to the control room >kill some other guys >come back to the control room >save marines >come back to the control room
Daniel King
I'd argue that 3's the most consistently great campaign in the series.
Missions like Sierra 117, The Ark, The Storm and The Covenant are peak Halo. Cortana is the only level that I feel isn't great.
Elijah Cox
>Chief is basically a god even outside of his suit >He could break a man's pelvis with a groin kick at the age of 14 >Still needs to do 5 straight punches to Prophet Regret's face to kill him WHILE wearing the mjolnir suit that doubles his strength
The Ark is the best level out of the ones you mentioned.
>the best and most consistent level design in the whole series The first half of the campaign is completely unremarkable and has THE worst level in the entire series, Crow's Nest. Cortana is better than people say it is from a gameplay perspective but it has the worst bout of the most baffling design decision ever that plagues Halo 3 constantly, Cortana and eventually Gravemind never fucking shutting up and letting you actually play the game. And it's one of the many, many levels where they make you run through it backwards immediately after having gotten through it, which is far worse than even Halo 1 because at least those levels are somewhat different when they were recycled, and it wasn't literally right after you had just played them.

>Campaign 1>3>2 MC missions>4>2 Arby missions>Reach=ODST Never finished 5 yet >Multiplayer 3>5>2/2A>1>4>Reach
Jason Rogers
5's Multiplayer isn't bad at all, specifically it's custom games.
Imagine if Microsoft got Marty and Joe back together to write and design a new halo game that combines halo 2 and 3s story like how it was originally intended to be.
Connor Bennett
Regret lifts every tuesday night, he's pretty buff
Jacob Garcia
campaigns: 2 >= CE > ODST >= 3 > Reach > 4 > 5
mp: 2 >= 3 >= CE > else

Bungie really can't into boss fights, they just turn all the enemies into bullet sponges, should've just made the bosses really hard to reach but easy to finish off.
Jayden Miller
So must people either want it or indifferent to sprint in Halo.
Jaxson Thomas
The Heretic and the Library are both worse than Crow's Nest, which is almost exactly the same as Cairo Station anyways.
Carson Anderson
Normal is the canon difficulty so it's about only three punches that kill Regret.

Sadly

Cool

Halo 2 is more about damage phases than sponginess, what you really do with its bosses is damage them during a window of opportunity while surviving. The boss is less the threat than the surrounding goons or support for the most part which actually is a neat way to do bosses, if the bosses were weak then there would have been no point and should have just died in cutscenes
Halo 1 has Library and Attack on the Control room/Two Betrayals, which all fucking suck. Silent Cartographer is the standout Halo 2 has every mission feeling exactly the same. I'd take Crows Nest and Cortana over those because atleast I get The Storm, Sierra 117, The Ark, The Covenant and Halo
James Sanders
I replayed Crows nest yesterday and it is by far the most boring level in the trilogy
Luke Torres
I like the Heretic a lot, I like the Library a lot, Crow's nest is dogshit sorry
Joseph Miller
Legendary is the canon difficulty, and regardless of that a single punch from Chief should splatter anything organic that isn't a shielded Elite, armored Brute or a Hunter.
Liam Ortiz
Did you mean the Oracle or something? The Heretic is a cutscene.
The Library is visually boring and too long but it's at least challenging. Crow's Nest is a small uninteresting area recycled 50 times over in the same level with no challenge to it no matter the difficulty. It's utter garbage.
John Murphy
>Legendary is the canon difficulty Nope
Colton Jones
Crow's nest is boring, but I have a sense of dread playing Sacred Icon, it's so bad.
