Will "DUDE, PAPER" just become a whole genre now?

Will "DUDE, PAPER" just become a whole genre now?

Where do the South Park games fit?

kirby's epic yarn and yoshi wooly world belong up here

Barely in purple.

>only name two axis while having 4 squares to fill out
God whoever made this was a fucking retard.

It's not a political alignment, it's graph made by an idiot that doesn't know the difference.

pretend the axes start at the bottom left bro just use your imagination

>Left axis is noncombat focuse
>Down axis is nonpaper aesthetic
People who can't extrapolate are the worst.

>TTYD is fascist

>Paper Mario is 0 on the Paper Aesthetic axis
you are genuinely retarded and I mean that in the most aggressive way possible

No but it is clearly using the political alignment style of graphs, which in all fairness works when used correctly. See pic related.
All this needs is two more fucking words to fill out the lines but nope the person making it was just a retard.

So am I it seems but still fuck the person who made it.
Aliment spots aren't even that good..

This graph is straight up retarded bro

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here.
All of you user are right. OP's choice of graph is retarded. YET you all got the point, did you? Right is good, left is bad. Paper aesthetic's importance is yours to decide.

For what my money's worth I am gonna go check bug fables and the Donnerwald experiment.

Why would Paper Mario 64 be in the center of the graph? Center for Paper Aesthetic, sure, with TTYD having a bit more and the Sicker Star line on the top, with games that have no paper aesthetic at all on the bottom. But it should be all the way right with bug fables on combat.

>Parappa / Um Jammer Lammy nowhere to be found
fuck outta here zoomer OP

SPM combat blows the Sticker Star trilogy out of the fucking water and you know it

>OG paper mario only mid tier in both aspects
>sticker star top tier in paper aesthetic
you havent seen these games, let alone played them.

Only because it doesn't waste your time.
But it's clear SMP doesn't focus on combat at all

Have you? The SS series is all about the paper aesthetic. 64's only relation to paper is the flat sprites

I think Paper Mario is the baseline for the guy making it.
I haven't played Sticker Star but I thought it was the first game to REALLY lean on the paper theme as hard as possible?

UnderHero was fucking garbage.

How the ruck does Super paper mario have no(?) combat
Actually what the fuck does that axis even mean at all? The thousand year door has a full combat value while paper mario has half? Even though their combat is practically the same? What?

they did, but combining traditional SMB combat with RPG elements felt good, but they did it in a way that overturned the hell out of your abilities.

It's regarding how complex the battle mechanics are.
In super it's fire breath, or switch to Luigi for super bounce

I mean. No one said it was bad.

Yet

Cringe
fucking cringe

So, ignoring the poorly made graph, which of these look promising? I enjoyed Bug Fables well enough, but I'd like something a little more polished

Scrapstory
Seahorse Saga
Born of Bread
Those are the only ones that look good.

Born of Bread is the only good one listed here.

Seahorse Saga looks like an even more unpolished Bug Fables and Scrapstory is just some meme puzzle paper game, nothing about it is like classic PM gameplay at all.

Born of Bread has way higher production value and actually has the same exact TTYD combat and instead of an audience it uses a "broadcast" like as if it was a news reporter filming the fights live.

>red
>blue
>green
>pink
?

You can define anything as the origin and everything else will be relative to that. And if you try and argue the SS trilogy doesn't have paper aesthetic to the point of nausea you're out of your mind.
