Ghost of Tsushima is the definition of pure kino
post monke jin
Based and monke-pilled
Is there some kind of hidden honor meter depending on how much you assassinate? Because I assassinated some random schmuck and it gave me a flashback of my uncle telling me to look them in the eye. Haven't been assassinating after that because I'm afraid of some kind of bad ending or something.
thoughts?
>see standoff option
>can't resist pressing Up
Is it wrong if I play some Shinobi 3 and Golden Axe music as I ride across the plains? It just fits so well
No, that just happens the first few times you do it.
I think that was the only time you'll ever get a "feels bad man" flashback mid gameplay.
>Mhmm....giant slash marks all over the victim....a Drowner™, gotta be
this was the lamest fucking quest
Eh.. it made me laugh. Fuck you.
>see standoff option
>switch to Sakai armor
>longbow snipebthe furthest man while timeslowed on my horse
>press up to initiate standoff before they notice me
>kill everyone else in one strike
nice moves
what is it exactly about this game that makes it stand out from the other 452432 open world games like it?
You get one for using blow darts too
Soul.
It's like Assassin's creed or BOTW but actually good.
comfy
Style over substance: the game
It doesn't even look THAT good either, Sekiro still blows it out of the water
those other games fucking suck
Doesn’t have nearly as much handholding as compared to a typical open world game and has deep combat by open world standards along with looking artistically gorgeous
Are there any cities in this game? Care to post a screen of it?
Fromsoft's engine has been looking dated and ugly since DS2 and hasn't improved much since then. The graphics are serviceable but don't stand out.
FoTM
Not bad, considered taking a shot at the same place myself but didn't have nearly as good a time of day as you did.
It just me or do the time of day options in the photo mode not really work properly? Like they change the ambient lighting, but something about setting a time of day in there seems off compared to the same location if you just happen to visit at the right time.
Highly immersive, consistently impressive art direction.
Meaningful collectibles vast majority of which add to customization.
Fluid traversal that isn't burdened by shitty animations that serve no purpose, you can collect anything while riding your horse full speed.
A photo mode that is a game in itself.
A decent amount of content, but not TOO much content.
Fun melee combat system with a bit of difficulty to it.
No icon vomit.
No copy pasted quests even though they arent special.
>the game is almost over by the time you get the ghost armor
Real fucking shame.
This is the only one Ive been able to play for more than a few hours and I’m 20 hours in now with no signs of stopping.
Kek. I had the same thoughts for half the game. And it never ceases to bring a smile to my face because every time I do, I think about how much more I enjoy tracking shit in this game than in Witcher.
Incredible how actual visible footprints are more satisfying to track through a visible, good looking world than a glowing trail is through one that's blurred out and put through a shitty batman vision filter.
GOTY
>Going to a hot springs and seeing Jin's bare ass
Kinda gay, not gonna lie.
It's about japan so every weeb comes out of the woodwork to masturbate furiously to it
Really? This is why games should let you replay with everything you’ve unlocked. Sometimes you just want to stomp
Can you make yourself look like samurai jack?
It’s really well made and makes pc beggars seethe
It unironically is
Reflect on...
It felt like just the right amount of campaign to me. Because the story wasnt so appealing that I felt I had to speedrun for cutscenes. Exploring was actually fun and doing mythic tales for gear was interesting. Also I spent half my time on photomode. By the time I finished the game I felt very satisfied with the content. It does a really good job of open world presentation by scattering things to do in your way to the next mission.
>mfw Loyal Friend's Grave
It's just not the same without calling its name anymore
You get the armor about 2/3rds of the way through, at the castle siege before the snow region.
Jin basically gives up on doing things through honor and samurai code once and for all goes on a full terrorism spec ops warcrimes attack against the mongols.
PC BROS........
looks like asscreed odyssey lol
i like this game!
It takes the familiar open world tropes of this generation but does them better and avoids the pitfalls that series like AC have fallen into.
>no level-gate bullshit
>no over-complex systems that bloat the game to give a false sense of depth
>world is spaced out so that the world feels dense but not cramped, and spacious but not barren
>movement is smooth and responsive, navigating doesn’t feel like a chore (what is it with most open world games and having fucking awful horse controls?)
>unprecedented loading times and small filesize for this genre
>legitimate challenge if you want it
>item and ability unlocks are properly paced throughout the playthrough so that you are constantly getting new things, not like other games where you get your whole arsenal half way or 1/3 through the game
Im tempted to keep going but I’ll stop.
I could say it simply does Assassins Creed better than Assassins Creed but I feel that downplays what Tsushima truly does well.
Really it feels like the logical conclusion to the missteps that the genre as a whole has taken.
Agreed it felt like a setup. Also they never really show his inner struggle with the samurai until its over, the Ghost sort of happens
KAMIKAZE!!
I wish the game gave you a few other melee weapons to use and learn styles for. It just seems like a poorly implemented mechanic for you to be able to learn all the weapon based fighting styles before you even finish the first act.
What?
Apparantly it changes the weather and you are more likely to get storms
>have to track by actually following footprints
>no spidey sense
Pretty kewl
Well said. You can tell SP has learned a lot of lessons from other games this gen, they’re a very experienced developer.
Anyone?
I mean they do deal with it in a way. Jin is essentially watching peasants, thieves, and all kinds of normal people fight harder against the mongols. They just never have him vocalize it outside of the haikus, some of the side missions, and hot springs. The Ghost Stance mission is probably the best narrative moment for the existence of the ghost, but the armor itself is treated like a memento rather than something important.
How did she stop crying so quickly?
have you guys found any more of these bowing signs? i bowed here and it spawned a fuckton of frogs.
