Detroit Become human

Thoughts? Was thinking of playing it.

Best of the movie games. Mediocre by any standard you might apply to literature or cinema. Still groundbreaking for games and worth playing. Cliched and fun and a little interesting. I liked it. Maybe you will too.

Is the story any good or at least decent?

It's pretty good. You should just play it and if you don't like it by the junkyard scene it won't be your thing.

The absolute most boring way to play is to go for the obvious golden ending of deviant Connor and peaceful Marcus. The story is absolute kino if you go for violent Marcus/Deviant (but still a machine to protect humanity) Connor or just about any other variation of the plot. Would recommend if you do that instead of being a boring moralfag, treat it like a director altering the flow of the plot to your liking and not as a 'be a good boy or bad boy for good/bad ending' and you'll have fun.

Alright, will give it a try.

It's kind of pozzed, black people heroic, whites badong, illegals have more value than citizens etc.

Game ends just when it would naturally start in a novel. Imagine a full book building up a war/conflict, only for that conflict to start and end in one short chapter at the end of the book. Extremely disappointing.

this is up on foot gal. is it worth a try?

Pretty good. It was enjoyable. Loved the world/concept.

Pirate it, it's pozzed as fuck but not unsalvageable.

I really liked it, Connor is a cutie.

So it has multiple endings?

Yes, and most of them are stupid because David Cage, is, was, and always will be a shameless hack.

too fucking depressing for my taste. Pirated it, got through the first 6 or so act things and deleted it. I'm all in for drama but fuck off with this "everything must be suffering nonstop"

The graphics are really good. Second to RDR2 in my opinion.

The story overall is decent
There are certain stories you will like more than others

idk why people think this game is pozzed
there are very few main characters that are non-white

It's by far the best of the David Cage games, so if you've liked any of those, give it a go. Has the subtletey of a brick to the face and some cringey moments as a result, but I found it largely compelling, and Cage is the best in the industry at AAA story games with actual consequences for your decisions and a branching narrative. Like said, it can be pozzed, but isn't distractingly so most of the time

I want Kara to be my mom!

Basically that every non-white character = good, and the only bad characters are white. Combine it with how clumsy and obvious Cage's writing is, and it gets noticeable here and there

Amanda isn't good
why do people forget her so much

Do you get the chance to rail her?

you play as her

Because she isn't even real in the game. The real Amanda could have been a saint since all we know is she was a professor, and we only deal with a mysterious/evil AI version created by...a white man

All the main characters are white, and Amanda is black and pretty blatantly evil.

the black woman is evil though and one of the few good guys is a white man

Yeah but any way to do that through the other two male MCs?

I thought it was sequel bait

SHAUN

Pretty damn good, Connor sections are kino, the rest are meh.

No, but you can romance North, who is literally built for sex.

Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls both ended with sequel hooks that will never be followed up on too.

I guess that’s just a thing David Cage does.

I wish north always had her hair in that scene where you wreck the street/graffiti it
she was full QT there and I didn't like her look anywhere else

>cage originally planned for ellens character to be able to get raped and theres fully voiced audio for it they recorded mocapped

how did he get away with this bros

There's a demo available for the the PS4 version, I thought it was utterly laughable myself.

>quickly investigating crime scene before trying to talk rogue android down from killing child
>can CLEARLY SEE gun under table
>spend so long trying to interact with it, I fail the mission
>reload
>have to go through holographic crime scene reconstruction minigame that works like a video editor and therefore is more like a chore than a game before the game will allow me to interact with the gun

This was enough to put me off the idea of ever playing it. It's graphically impressive, I guess, but the writing is laughable compared to a decent film or even a potboiler science fiction novel, and the actual "gameplay" is teeth-grindingly infuriating.

this could be true or completely made up and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference because cage is that much of a fucking madman

Like my other post said, the Amanda in the game is just an AI created by CyberLife and modeled after Kamski's mentor. And there's plenty of good white people, which is why I don't think it's pozzed beyond redemption, but the devs literally made Rose black (was white in concept art) and Todd white (was black in concept art) and I can't not assign that to leftist racial politic motives

tcrf.net/Beyond:_Two_Souls

stupid. pretty though.
but then you learn about kamski ending and it all makes sense.

Really good story with some very profound moments. Probably QD's best game to date, though I will say that Kara's sections are boring as shit minus the mansion. Connor > Markus > Kara.

>just an AI
that doesn't make her any less of a villain

well to be fair it was a literal allegory for the underground railroad
