Because we underestimated the fanaticism of their cult. We thought "surely people will see through this bullshit soon". But they didn't.
By the time normies noticed that the Cult of Social justice had become too powerful it was already too late because cancel culture was in full swing and you could no longer call them on their bullshit without having your life ruined.
Last year it looked like the cult was finally running out of steam because everyone was sick of it but then Corona-chan happened leading to mass frustration just waiting for an outlet. Unfortunately the first outlet that came along was George Floyd and the cult successfully rallied around it to weaponize the mass fustration and channeled it into rapidly advancing their institutional powergrab.
The only hope now is that their reach exceeds their grasp and they crumble under their own weight sooner rather than later.
