1.4 million sold for Royal and 480,000 for scramble
P5R&S
how about vanilla?
Thanks for nothing Nintendies
>Yet this still lock SMT V to switch and P5 on to ps4
Dumb fucks
I think it was at like 3M last time they reported
It was bad enough when Nintendo let P5’s joke of a protagonist into Smash.
no ... bros... royal was supposed to flop... what happened...
Now every single of the top 5 best selling games in Atlus' history are on PlayStation consoles.
Which genius thought it was a good idea to not bring SMTV on PS4/PS5. Hopefully this and the fact that SMTIII will probably sell at least as the Switch version (if not a bit more) will make them wake up and bring everything they have on PS4/PS5, including SMT and Etrian Odyssey.
I think the last time they published numbers for vanilla it was around 3,2 million, it's probably a bit higher now.
I think the fact that Nocturne is on both Switch and PS4 while SMTV is only on Switch kind of tells us that there has to be some exclusivity deal behind the scenes, like SMTV is on unreal engine, it basically already supports PS4.
>catherine bombed on switch
>scramble bombed on switch
What do you think the ratio on the Nocturne sales is gonna be like?
Atlus probably thought that because Switch is a handheld too, that the track record of SMT doing better on Nintendo handhelds than on Sony consoles would continue. I don't think this will be the case though.
SMT doesn't sell on PS (all the PS2 era games flopped). Persona does not sell on Nintendo (P5S Switch flopped)
We could had a SMT rep but nah, gotta promote the exclusives of your competitor just because Sakurai has a bone while playing P5
They still could, I mean square got two JRPG reps
P5S flopping on Switch is a no-brainer because it's a spinoff sequel to a game the Switch never got. The fanbase isn't there, even if it may want to be.
As for SMT doing poorly on PS2 and then doing well on Nintendo handhelds later on, I think that has more to do with Atlus getting crushed by all the other JRPG devs back in the PS2 days only for JRPGs to go into decline allowing more niche games to take center stage. I don't think it was because PlayStation owners won't touch SMT, and I don't think the success of SMT on 3DS will necessarily transfer over to Switch.
I mean the best scenario would be to release everything on everything or at least PS4/PS5/Switch if they don't care that much about PC.
I just find it weird how internet discussions focus on bringing Persona to PC/Switch and not on the real question: "why isn't PS4/PS5 getting games like SMTV when it's the console with the biggest Atlus fan presence and sales?".
They can release it on other platforms too but it's kinda weird how nobody talks about the obvious Nintendo paying for excusivity bullshit.
Let's hope they release SMTV on PS4/PS5 6-12 months later.
Probably signed the exclusivity deal before P5 released, sold more than any other Atlus game, and thus before they realized how many easy SMT converts they had on PS4/PS5.
Realistically, do you think atlus is like "shit we made a mistake" putting stuff on the switch? as in "we could've made so much more if everything was released on ps4"
Absolutely. Nintendo must have a big involvement in the game, no other way to explain the simultaneous worldwide release. Atlus would never do that on their own. They're probably locked in with Nintendo, at least for a time. And it probably seemed like a good idea until P5 released.
Imagine how much more it would have sold if it wasn't a snoystation exclusive. Hopefully P4G success shows Fatlus they don't have to strictly rely on snoy to sell games.
Success on Steam I mean.
Has P5R been on any decent sales? I want it but i dunno if it's worth paying $60 for what's basically P5 with some additional content. I'd pay up to maybe $30, $40 is pushing it.
Nah, Fatlus is one of those devs who would bow dow to snoy tranny dick, no matter what
Snoy propaganda
>you know, we COULD translate scramble and literally triple the money we make from it...
>nah fuck it don't bother
i wonder if atlus will ever give any shits about the west
The thing was Persona 5 Royal costs 3x as much as Persona 4 does, steam faggot. And it still has sold more, woah....
A man can dream, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised the remaining dlc reps wil be nintendo shit only
Maybe there's going to be a rerelease and they're just doing a nocturne and waiting for that to come out before they translate it.
Exclusivity deals. Sony’s been pulling an Epic for ages now. They spend millions on this shit. Ditto with Switch and SMTV. Sony is going all in on the normie crowd so they probably didn’t make a bid for SMTV.
shut
up
Shits already down to 40 on Amazon and has gone down to 35 at Gamestop, which is strange because the game hasn't been out for too long. Games usually don't drop in price that fast unless they flop.
Ponies are retards, news at 11.
Scramble is on switch
Most of the stuff they've put on Switch is already on PS4 apart from TMS, and that's an FE crossover so that's never leaving Nintendo platforms.
