how the FUCK do you learn to make good art for your game??
How the FUCK do you learn to make good art for your game??
I'm still trying to figure this out. I actually finished a game but it has placeholder art.
Learn to make good art.
if you don’t immediately understand that the answer is “practice” you should stop making games. Your game is going to suck.
How do I find the motivation to write the rest of my visual novel?
watch bob ross, if you can make good enough skyboxes people will forgive everything else. Characters can morph so long as they mostly stick to the same proportions
I just finished writing my VN user, take a break and come back to it in the future. I had gave up on it, and then 2 years later had motivation to finish it.
It feels like I've been in a break. I need to get back.
I got my motivation when I was playing random VN's.
user I mean this in the kindest way possible.
Every single time in your head you think "I'll do that later" do the thing immediately. Also fix your diet. I was unironically the most depressed and unmotivated I have every been in my life and I started slowly following these two rules (baby steps at a time) and now I am running every other day and finishing multiple projects. My experience, not yours, but I wish you well on your journey.
also should I attempt to learn python first before figuring out Ren'Py or just go straight to Ren"py first pls help
You can just buy the art. There are tons of 3d models out there that lots of indie games use.
If you need unique 2d art you can get it cheap from the 3rd world on fiver.
I do eat like shit so maybe that's it. Thanks user.
From what I've done, ren'py is pretty easy to use. There's lots of tutorials for shit you might want to do if you search the forums.
>soulless models that doesnt represent my vision of my game
no thanks id rather suffer
>You can just buy the art
Yeah I feel like this is the way to go. It'd probably be easier/less time consuming to just make the money to pay someone for art, rather than learning to do it yourself.
Learn to draw first, pencil and paper, then buy one of those cheap drawing tablets and move on to digital art.
It will take at least two years of regular (i.e everyday) practice to get there though.
thanks, ill look into it. I have absolutely no programming knowledge but I am determined to learn.
If you are looking to fix your diet, do it gradually but consistently, making sure u eat shit like vegetables and fruits while cutting down on boxed foods and carbs. Just try to follow your conscience and think more about the actual things that are in the food you are eating. also stay hydrated. fixing your food intake will leave you less prone to anxious or depressive episodes depending on what you are prone to.
Why do i get jealous when i see good art?
I don't draw and never tried.
because deep down you want to draw good shit but lack the motivation to do it
just draw lol
my sister does for me :^)
AMATERASU
Takes at least two years to find your own style.
You don't
Just hire freelance artists to do most of the work
The result will never be what you had in mind.
finding your own style is easy as most people inclined to draw will have some reference in mind
allright anons im barely 20 b day was 4 days ago, I want to make a game starring underwater superhero krabs. I need to draw though. from now on every day ill be making a voodle thread for anons that want to improve theyre drawing for game making on here. Get fucking ready anons becuase I know theres a fuck ton of you out there. will start by practicing loomis and anatomy get that shit ready for tomorow.
you pay someone else to do it
would you pay someone else to fuck your wife? because thats how this sounds to me
Take a quick intro to python class it doesnt get more complex than that
the best outcome is being able to draw well enough to make concept art of your vison for the characters or the scenary around them, Afte that hire some freelancers to do the grunt work.
alright user im with you. I'm gonna be fucking shit but ill take solidarity in the fact that we will be shit together brother.
>wanting attention
>thinking other people will care if you're an ideas guy
>talking lik dis am no drunk swear on mam
Here's your (you).
Don't come back.
Do things for yourself, not for others or the attention of others.
Craving attention isn't how you make things.
