There is no english patch for psp2i. Thats what were all waiting for. Psu and 2i are on the verge of completion and will either be here tis year or early next. Between this, pso2ranny, and psobb there is no better time to be a phantasy star fan

PSP2i's translation is currently in the testing phase, as long as people don't report too many hiccups, it should be out in a few more months

I think it got to complicated. PSO was a good, simple formula but it felt a little to barebones. PSU added just enough to make it more interesting with things like different hubs/towns, synthesis, a story, and photon art leveling but it was still a very jump in and play game. There is so much confusing shit to PSO2 and it feels like you need a guide to play. I will never understand affixing and all the million fucking gemstone currencies that you trade shit up for

Action RPG spin off of the somewhat popular Phantasy Star franchise. Had a lukewarm reception and is arguably considered the worst game in the franchise. Has a few PSP sequels that improves on the gameplay

Honestly this series works better when it's more slower-paced and intricate. PSO2 is just way too DMC without the polish for its own good.
PSO2 has many problems but its gameplay is not one of them. I think mining base 3 and 4 are the peak and they never just did quite as memorable events as those. PSU was full of action packed events and missions and calmer ones and downtime in between, the pacing was good all around
