Shit man, and here I am with my pc internal bluray drive that can do everything a standalone device can and more for fifty bucks.
You know, its always a bit depressing thinking how long bluray has already been out yet it became so irrelevant so quickly thanks to streaming most people forget it's even a thing.

Well it's cheap for anything that was meant for a rich person, the PS3 really was stupid and expected people who were poor to spend insane amount of money for them just to get high resolution while most of them were stuck on 480i crts.

I did a bit of googling and it looks like cheap (shit) blu ray players were 400-500 in 2006-7 so yeah 599 for a good quality one was actually a good price
