You know on a general level Ellie is not that threatening of an enemy. This is basically the equivalent of some random person with some firearms training coming after you. Generally speaking you could probably fight her off yourself given most people here have access to more guns and ammunition than Ellie would. Also cars, and the ability to go to home depot and buy materials to make makeshift explosives which could be used as a distraction and then you mag dump her from a hiding spot.
