If the actor is ugly then yes

Its not if it makes for a better performance and the characters themselves are already explicitly human

BASED

FUCK CAPCOM AND FUCK VOTH

Considering the depths of ugliness that modern movie games will pursue for "realistic" graphics, it's more about direction than technique. Choose the right model and it looks fine

it works sometimes

What a dumb fucking question. But what else should I expect from a simp? You just wanted an excuse to post the lasted semi-celebrity girl you're infatuated with. Fucking pathetic.

Yes, face scanning is shit

God why do I hate septum piercings so much?

Yes.
Realism in general is lazy. Copying reality is easy while creating your own unique and appealing art style is fucking hard.

Because despite whatever faults you might have, you're still a normal functioning human being.
Septum ring people are barely human though.

Because we give those to farm animals.

If it hits uncanny valley it's lazy, if it doesn't then you're making sure the voice matches the face.

I wouldn't say it's lazy if it takes more work to pull it off well. Stylized characters makes it easier to hide fuckups.

Lazy and ugly, if I wanted to play real shit I would still be playing Ground Zero Texas, fuck Capcom and their shitty RE engine that has taken character design and thrown it into the toilet. RE7 and 8 Chris vs RE5 & 6 Chris will show you.

>God why do I hate septum piercings so much?
They're based as fuck, any woman willing to mark herself as cattle and in turn property is fine in my book.

>If it hits uncanny valley it's lazy
Or maybe they tried their hardest, and simply aren't skilled enough to pull off realism.

If the end goal is autistic realism it should be accomplished in the most expedient, systematic manner possible, Trying to brute force the current expectations of fidelity with human labor has destroyed the industry.

>they made Ellie cuter
Well, thanks for that at least.

why did the make Ellie look more like her actress? It worked fine in the first game as being an original character.

got a girl to mo cap the trans guy

Yes and thanks to fucking GTA V it's now in every AAA game

Nothing is hand animated anymore. Everything is motion captured and face captured.

there are no trannies in tlou2

we dont have the technology to do realism. we cant even do realism with prerendered cgi yet

Attached: shy_hands.webm (1280x720, 1.58M)

it's fucking stupid

They did the same thing with uncharted 4, it's better for mocap, they were still hand animating faces in tlou1. While it was a little less blatant they did the same thing with Venom and Kiefer.

Yeah I'm sure they are fine with motion capturing bears and dinosaurs.

Expectation:
>"She's going to be a submissive little subby. I bet she's real dirty. Yeah, she'll call me daddy."

Reality:
>Trans rights activists.
>Heavily involved in Black Lives Matter
>Jumps on every opportunity to protest for this or that cause
>"Cis white male."
>No domestic skills, no career prospects, no real benefit at anything.(might have an artistic skill, but nothing beyond selling a few trinkets on Etsy
>Bipolar

She was just some random effects artist at Naughty Dog not an actor.

However I think it can work, but in TLOU2 it was distracting since Ellie and Joel clearly are not face-scanned so they look a bit out of place with the rest of the characters.

you're not far off

Dan Southworth's jaw is too much

Goddamm she is the definition of plain

THE JOOST IS SO CUTE

Pic unrelated I assume

Not lazy, necessary if you want to achieve anything resembling realism. Artists simply cannot design a real human face from scratch, there are too many subtle details that are unique to each face. Every time artist try to do it without a photoscan or even a reference (which is what they used in TLOU2, they used reference scans and then artistically adjusted the faces to mesh with the game's artstyle) they just come out looking like generic 3D benchmark models.

It's going to suck because we will get to a point where the same face appears in a bunch of different games.

who did they scan for his face?

She really is, it's quite amazing.

Did you play the game? Yara is a tranny

Septum rings don't even phase me anymore after seeing people with inner gum rings.

But anyone can see uncanny valley, it doesn't take nuance or taste to see it. If you attempt and fail, but still utilize the failed product then that's lazy.

George Floyd tribute.

who is she?

nah, depends on the pic

Yeah, I heard a similar argument brought up for deathstranding, no artist could come up with a face as unique as Mads's.

we already have gotten to that point

Attached: file.png (1803x715, 2.36M)

>Yara is a tranny
>Naoto is a tranny
>Mulan is a tranny
Nice revisionism. Go back to twitter

Exactly, if Madds didn't exist and you tried to design that face you would be called a shit artist, his face is just so weird. In a good way tho.

Dina's actress is best girl.
