Every game Kojima works on predicts real world events
Metal gear predicted the rise of social media and echo chambers to control discourse, Death Stranding predicted coronavirus separating everyone and forcing us to rely on delivery people
could you explain what all his other games predicted please
Joshua Young
Finally Junji Ito is Video Games.
Grayson Hill
MGS2 predicted a terrorist attack on New York and the controlling of trends via influencers and made up numbers.
Camden Butler
NOOOO STOP IT JUNJO ITO IM GOING INSANE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Christian Carter
Cool. What did his other games predict?
Thomas Phillips
This truly is the Junji Ito of videogames
Parker Roberts
he just told you twice, lmao
Josiah Taylor
MGS predicted there would be a MGS2 and it happened.
Ryan Kelly
Well, I'm gonna ignore this, not cos it's a kojima game but because jumanji into stuff is goddamn terrifying stuff. That suicide floating head one shot was ficking horrifying.
Evan Kelly
We're gonna return to a golden age of Zig Forums when dumping ito comics was not reported by newfags
Christian Smith
Idk about you but I haven't relied on a delivery person except for chink delivery the whole lockdown.
Gabriel Perez
>That suicide floating head one shot was ficking horrifying. What is this?
Levi Sanders
>Every game Kojima works on predicts real world events >Now he's making a Junji Ito game Damn, the world is going to have a shitty unsatisfying ending.
it didn't work in anime because the imagery in the animation wasn't disturbing enough and because anime just can't capture the same sort of suspense books/manga can. The great thing about Junji's work is that it uses page turns really well, with a character visibly reacting to something on the next page which the reader then has to flip to. You know something bad is coming, and in that moment of you choosing to flip the page the suspense is at its highest. Anime can't replicate that because anime is at its core passive, you're watching something happen. You don't choose to keep going, it just unfolds in front of you. In vidya you DO choose to keep going, even more so than you do in manga. Rather than just flipping the page, you're directly controlling the characters. You're choosing to go forward yourself, makign the experience all that much more suspenseful and visceral
If they do it well this game could be an easy GOTY
Dominic Morgan
I hope Ito upstages him, to the point all Kojima is producing is interviews
Colton Cook
Mgs2 came out after the 1993 WTC bombing user
Caleb Hill
It literally did though. Go back and replay it. Mgs2 talked about memes before Zig Forums even existed and everyone knew what that meant.
Samuel Martin
What did Policenauts and Snatcher predict? Or portable ops? Or MG 1 and 2?
Tyler Morales
You now realize for Junji Ito to be involved it would be at the art level which would mean no using of Shinkawa art. CHOOSE Kojima's next game: Ito? Shinkawa?
Robert Gray
Does your dumb fucking ass think Kojima came up with the concept or term for memes?
Jeremiah Butler
That's kinda fucking spooky
Isaiah James
Is it going to be a serious horror game? If so it wouldn't work. All of Ito's works are either comedies disguised as horror or just outright comedies.
Luis Flores
I agree, in fact i never wrote othervise. But its kojima we talk about here. It will be shit and will sell like shit.
Wyatt Gomez
>Can't draw if you're not the design lead Lmaoooo
Chase Taylor
>Meme, unit of cultural information spread by imitation. The term meme (from the Greek mimema, meaning “imitated”) was introduced in 1976 by British evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins in his work The Selfish Gene.
Ryan Garcia
Correct.
Landon Ramirez
It depends how much power Ito gets in directing the game
Christian Bailey
>Junji Ito horror game So, they want to make a comedy?
Charles Howard
Not like they would actually finish the game >Kojima shits out one complete blunder after the other for a decade since when he found his studio, Kojimaproduction, up to 2015 >Publicy claim he is calling it quits with the franchise several times just to force Konami's hands and get a bigger paycheck everytime because of senseless cult of personality of the mgs fanbase. >Culminating his career at Konami with an unfinished game that that surpassed 80 million dollars of budget and 5 years of development and a mess of a storyline. >It's also a worse Far Cry with somehow worse shooting, no real weapons and pointless shit online and grind/base management tackled on >B-b-but you don't get it, he never wanted to make those games, evil Konami FORCED HIM to work on those games. >Let's ignore that he has been vice president of Konami for this whole time >Advertise a new game as some horror action post apocalyptic third person game >Starting to look like a delivery sim the more news come in >Shills in full force yelling how it's totally NOT a walking simulator >Turns out it really is >A-akthually yes, but y-you just want another COD...g-g-go back to Fortnite... >Not even breaking 3 million copies on console after 8 months >Delivery simulator with literally no physics for vehicles, the best tactic is literally Skyrim horse your way to the objective with the bike. >Somehow he can't spare some of its dozens and dozens and dozens of millions he wasted for Normie Fetus ugly (and mostly mute) mug for giving the total of 3 vehicles you get to drive something open world games had 2 decades ago. >"B-but art, you just don't get it *Take a sip of Monster Energy Drink™* >Literal AA sales figures, 700k copies sold on Steam at launch >Complete silence on sales for more than half a year >Kojima humiliating himself insisting proudly how 8+ months after release his "magnum opus", the masterpiece he put so much passion into after being free from the shackles of evil Konami, broke even.
None of that proves that he won't finish the game though. The only point you made was that you don't like DS and Kojima didn't focus on vehicles for a game which is all about walking. DS was still a massive game completed in a way shorter time frame than many other AAA games.
Carson Hall
>I had flippantly replied that director Hideo Kojima had approached me for a job in an interview for an international audience, but in reality it was little more than a "maybe I'll ask for your help if there's an opportunity" during a stand-up conversation at a party. I would like to apologize to director Hideo Kojima and others who have given me too much hope. Not gonna happen.
Angel Harris
>two overrated hacks collab Good for you, Kojimbodrones.
Colton Wright
No shit. This thread is just to trigger spergs by saying Kojima in a thread OP.
Caleb Mitchell
>Every game Kojima works on predicts real world events
I want to know what every game has predicted
Liam Sanders
>peace walker the dangers of a war economy which certain countries are kind of in >MGSV and PW dangers of AI (coming soon)
Are you guys actually this retarded? He never said Kojima invented memes, he just said he was talking about it before it became this substantially widespread thing that everyone knew, at least not in the way that people use it now. Leave it to a bunch of butthurt faggots on Zig Forums to get triggered whenever someone brings up Kojima, christ
