everything has been power creeped to high heaven, remember when soldier had like 20 damage per round and he was considered monstrously op?
He now has 20 damage round, six second missile, buffed sprint and other qol and he's generally considered not worth running unless the competition is banned.
But the true problem is blizzard's mentality of wanting all the control. They decide what we play, who we play and when we play and also monopolize all tournaments ensuring overwatch will not have an actual competitive scene once owl dies.

Having recently played this game again for the first time in months I honestly have no idea how they can fix it. Comp is an absolute shitshow and I no longer have any tolerance for it.

>Pick DPS? Well I hope you enjoy waiting for 10 minutes to get a game regardless of rank.

And that's just the issues with role lock, I haven't brought up my problems with communication, hero balance, map balance, repetitive events and the devs throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks.
As for Open Queue, every game is a coin toss as to whether you get a good comp or not and while I got lucky during my placements, I didn't want to risk it any further.
The only things I can see that would make Overwatch 2 a bearable game would be
>A fuckload of new tanks and supports (5 minimum per category).
>Have former pros give advice on game balance BEFORE they go to PTR/experiment card so the devs don't waste time making bullshit changes.
>Have single player be expansive and offer more fun side modes so casuals have something to stay for. The casual and e-sport sides of the game need to be more evenly accounted for.
I doubt these changes would 'fix' the issues with Overwatch but they might at least make it a bit less garbage.
