I've gotten less use out of my Switch than I did out of my Vita. The few obscure Japanese ports the Switch got wound up being pretty awful.

What revision are you waiting for? The switch is so far behind its competitors that anything they add would not close the power gap it has with the other devices. Further still, the device will be plugged of its vulnerabilities so you probably wouldn't be able to hack it for a long time.

My switch is hacked but correct me if I'm wrong, there is no way to hack newer ones and older ones vulnerable to the RCM exploit are extinct now. A friend of mine has an older switch which can be hacked, but he wants full price for it (320€). Should I get it so that I have a spare if mine breaks? Honestly my hacked switch is my favourite console ever by far. Its own games and the emulation is just too good to give up.

Like the N3DSXL huh? The performance of the current Switch is not adequate and there is not enough games to warrant me taking that risk. It paid off with the 3DS I suspect it will pay off again with the Switch. If it doesn't, I didn't really miss much. I didn't get a PS4 or a Xbone either, all the games worth playing made their way to PC sooner or later, so I'm not too worried about it.

The Switch would require a complete change of the mobile chipset used for any kind of power-boost because it's a system-on-a-chip and that is not happening. It's not a matter of a stronger processor and some more RAM like it was for the New 3DS so that it could handle a Wii port and Hyrule Warriors.
