Not strictly related to J&M mondays but there is a podcast I follow where they essentially said the same thing.
Despite the fact that they record all of their shows in advance and have admitted to having at least a month and a half of episodes already shot and recorded just sitting in the bank they still bitch about their job and how hard it is even though they've been shooting everything from home just in webcam with one another since the Covid shit started. Like, if you're working from home and you have to create a giant backlog of work for the next month and a half to even pretend to have a normal work schedule than what the fuck are you complaining about? Internet content creators really are some whiny fucking babies sometimes. And even with that giant backlog of content they still are probably not even pulling 30 hour work weeks as well as having 0 commute time and constantly half adding their work by releasing episodes like 45 minutes shorter than normal whenever they want with no consequence.
And I'm saying this as a guy getting paid 20.50 an hour literally to sit here on my phone. I only have to get up and do something maybe every 20 minutes and nobody bothers me the entire day. I'm not saying I've got it made, but I have an easy, comfortable job that at least pays me enough to live comfortably on my own.
