Here’s a comfy point and click game thread
share ur favourite point and click games here
Point and click thread
My favorites are Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max (TellTale). Want to get into Monkey Island and Back to the Future soon.
I literally have never met a black person that liked a point and click. They just liked shitty fighting games instead
I wonder why...
Does this dead thread mean anything to you?
The pinnacle of chiptune music
I liked Beneath a Steel Sky.
Can anyone fill me in on this sequel? Or warn me away from it? Or maybe recommend it?
Thoughts on the remasters Double Fine made for Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle?
GF is good, mouse support is great.
They're fantastic and the way they did it for DotT is genius. The original game is being emulated in the background, it evaluates what screen you are on and then paints a nicer scene on top of it.
probably Curse of Money Island
Has tons of minibugs, useless UI shit and only 8 save slots.
Cringe, kys
>Cringe, kys
just fuck off with your cynicism
I fucking love point n' click vidya, played a ton of them since I was a young lad. My favourite game is the first Broken Sword.
Day of the Tentacle is by far the best.
>Not posting this classic
Still gets a laugh out of me and at least the game was not as insane as Discworld 1.
Fuck that butterfly puzzle.
Also really liked Discworld NOIR with its solid atmosphere and tunes.

Ah, I see you're man of culture as well.
Discworld 2 was my first experience with Discworld, I was unaware of the book series as a kid. Only years later I would be introduced to them.
Day of the Tentacle is really good. I enjoyed both it and Grim Fandango. But Day of the Tentacle doesn't require a guide. Some of the puzzles in Grim Fandango is just ridiculous.
Grim Fandango is the ultimate style-over-substance game. I want to hate it for the shitty UI and moon-logic puzzles, but it's just too cool to hate.
DotT has one horrible puzzle, the door with the keys in it puzzle. That shit was impossible to figure out as a kid.
Then there was the combat sections in Full Throttle were you had to throw fertilizer in the chainsaw guys face to instantly KO him.
>Full Throttle
Worst LucasArts game. Ugly art, zero likeable characters, bad UI, illogical puzzles, shitty "action" sequences, boring music. And I'm supposed to be a hardened criminal with no qualms about killing humans, but I can't kill a dog that tried to kill me? They don't even make a joke about it like in Monkey Island, the dog just inexplicably survives getting a car dropped on it.
The music was way better on the C64 version. The NES version was a cheap port.
>Grim Fandango is the ultimate style-over-substance game.
This is an absolutely retarded take when point and clicks don't have any substance as being games outside of their puzzles, and Grim Fandango has great puzzles, retard.
forever based. i like this cover youtube.com
C64 version had music? either way you're wrong
that sounds horribly resource wasteful
running a c64 game in the background is resource wasteful to you? what are you using right now to read this thread, the LCD display of your microwave? Dipshit
I grew up on kings and space quest.
Roger Wilco is muh fucking boi.
>c64 game
Make space for real kino
