The employee was understandably put out and despite previously being an Au’ra decided to fantasia into a Lalafell by way of a joke. The employee failed to change the macro that they had set up for their Au’ra, which meant it included offering ERP services. This was never meant to be taken as an actual offer and was meant to be tongue-in-cheek since their previous auction was not well received and did not end favorably. However, this was not cleared by any management before it went off. So, while it was intended as a joke, it was a surprise to other staff. In hindsight, we know we handled this situation wrong. We took it upon ourselves to play up the joke, when it would have been better for us to stop the auction and have management address the issue. For this we take full responsibility and are incredibly sorry, from the bottom of our hearts. This is not how we wanted the auction to go, and it assuredly was not at all how we as an organization wanted to portray ourselves or our staff.

FFXIV doesn't have actual character progression. Every three months they boost up the bosses and give you gear that just pushes you up to the same proportionate level you were at before. Nothing changes about how you play, you just get bigger numbers that don't actually matter because the bosses have bigger numbers too.
