V new Characters
3 New stages
SFV
dead game
I love this game
Alive game.
I don't even need to look at stats and I can guarentee you it is the most played fighting game at the moment. Only one that could probably come close is MK11
Can't wait to be disappointed by no Makoto again.
Will buy if Hakan is revealed.
Kolin's game
DUDLEY CONFIRMED
Oro bros unite
Oh FFS. The game was dead, they brought out a Champion Edition which was the COMPLETE game us casuals were all waiting for so we bought it. Now they think that the game is popular again so they'll release new characters? NO you idiots, you just FINALLY got the customers you were losing out on by trying to do games as a service. We're not going to buy the DLC, the e-sports guys you've been chasing have already moved on and Evo is fuckin' metoo'd. Time to accept your fate.
I thought SFV posters are coomers, why does everyone want that ugly bitch to get in?
Nobody is asking for you to be in SF.
Schizophrenia?
This is more than just a Capcom thing. That day is like a fighting game summit. Capcom, SNK, BanNam, ASW, Koei Tecmo, and even Arika are going to be doing a digital panel and will be making statements on all their ongoing fighting game projects.
It's actually kind of cool.
Don't soijak me for saying something sounds cool.
>why does everyone want that ugly bitch to get in
Is this pasta or are you genuinely mentally ill
popular rumor is that because covid interfering development they had easier time to make new content to sfv just to keep money revenue flowing
Jesus christ jus kill the game already.
It failed
the voices in your head aren't real user
>including season 5 character reveals, esports news
>esports news
>esports
no thanks
At least Makotofags don't really have an alternate. They're pretty loyal.
The thing is, although SFV is getting old now, Capcom still keeps supporting it and giving it content. Just like how Capcom supports and carries the FGC. Hell, Capcom created the modern fighting game genre as a whole.
So Capcom is based. Also one of the only AAA companies left who are about gameplay in games.
Why do they keep making shit for this game? Move one, make SF6 or some other fighting game.
I feel a "prove me wrong" is in order. No game that focuses on multiplayer and esports is ever as big as the non-esports versions that preceded it. You can't turn Tekken into Fortnite, you need to make something new, not shoehorn an "IP" into a market that's extremely fickle about what its runaway successes are.
It's been by far the most consistent fighting game as far as turnout.
would be strange if they didn't continue esports with new upcoming characters this time they could actually say its the final capcom pro tour
Jesus go outside for once.
>But it's a pandemic
Yes. Exactly.
Its the most alive 2d figther.
Right now more people are playing it than even DBFZ.
Most haters dont even realize how better the game is than at louche and just dont want to admit it because they already made up there mind.
The launch failed. But it became the top 10 best-selling Capcom game of all time. That is not a fail but amazing recovery considering the launch and all the troubles.
Solid fighting game but not a 10/10 masterpiece SF6 should be.
If it failed, how come they kept supporting it?
>mk11
lmao, it's already dead
>it failed
>he says while it's top 10 best selling Capcom game
Absolutely no one asked for this. No fucking clue why Capcom are bothering. Even SFV players just want it to be over at this point.
Do we know if French Bread is going to take part in it?
I don't post here very often, I take it there's a shizo poster that parrots this often? No, I genuinely am a bit ticked off that I thought I got the whole game and now they are using the late DLC roll up as an excuse to continue the drip feeding instead of moving on to a new game. To be clear it's not that I somehow am damaged by there being DLC I'll never buy, it's that I thought they had learned their lesson.
The prove me wrong is that they've said numerous times they're happy with where the game is at and continue to support it. Sorry that it makes you upset.
>want it to be over
Only reason I would say no to new content is if it would bring SF6 faster. Elsewise, no.
I don't rosterfag myself, but I'd want makoto because i think her design is cool and i had fun playing her in other games.
I only worry she'll get gutted, but the last few characters seem a little more open-ended on their design.
>late DLC
it's the 5th season of DLC, also only a few years ago the standard for fighting games was making you buy the whole game over again. SFV has one of the most fair content update systems in all of fighting games ever.
Nobody cares what some casual thinks about fighting games. It's why nobody takes reviews of the genre seriously either.
Oro, Makoto, Remy, Twelve, Elena
I dont want them in they'll just be gutted but Capcom seems adamant
Yes, yes, we get it. If you heard it from Aris, then it must be true. Now run along to watch your favorite closet stoner Hagrid-looking fat fuck's stream.
People who acualy play fighting games want more characters.
People who just buy the games for the sake of having them and not acualy playing them for more than a weekend ate the ones who hate dlc.
Also if you have championship edition you can easily get the 5 dlc chars for free.
>tfw I was a waitfag for Kelfa
>But they decided to release long after all my friends dropped it
Feels bad bros, why should have been within the first season and we all know it
What it does is make me not want to buy SF6 when it comes out. I don't want to have 3 $30 "season passes" for every fighting game forever. I skipped all the fighters with the games as a service meme except this one, now I'm done. Maybe I'm the minority, but the sheer number of years it's taken for SFV to get a ROI seems to suggest it was a dumb move.
Best girl.
Does that mean that we're not getting anything revealed at that event on 8/1?
People whined about iterations so now everybody gets this live service trash.
Moron consumers.
those other companies reveal their stuff there
After this I think we're going to get a teaser on the 1 and then more info the 5th.
A teaser at max, since the stream on 8/1 is a Bamco event featuring guests from other companies
i like street fighter 3 more :D
This seems to be the meme, but it doesn't hold water. The games used to be quite different and quite far apart, it was really only UMvsC3 that ticked people off, and that was just bullshit coming from the legal dept. at Marvel, not Capcom being Capcom.
Now we've got season pass after season pass that adds characters and some sundries.
