thankfully mine killed itself and I was forced to replace it

I bought a 1030 last month and that was a fucking upgrade

>mfw R9 390
Don't know if I should upgrade or grab a PS5 and play the shit I missed on PS4

this but r9 280

>tfw we get to upgrade directly to the 30XX line

how long until 970 becomes worse than a console for future games?

>tfw death stranding is an absolute stutter fest for me even though people with the same card are running it fine
I really hope they release them cards soon

cpu?

Nah never really thought they were important. Didn't bother getting one.

i7-4770k OC'd, its not even maxing it out

>7 year old quad core

nigga people are running this game on i5's somehow just fine, either way I'm planning on doing a full upgrade whenever nvidia releases their new cards

>still uses Radeon R7200 series

Mine still works fine I guess. Don't really play many grafics-heavy games though
I'm due for upgrades though and I'd rather save a few bucks and not replace it if I can

>install new game
>set settings high-max
>60fps easy
Best card I've ever had.

Don't worry, Big Navi will be great this Fall and beat Ampere for everything except for the 3080 Ti.

PC Master Race am I right?

>1030
If you wanted to throw your money into the garbage you might as well have gotten a 1050 ti. I did for my first build

This coming console generation.
PS5 and Series X will annihilate it.
Series S might even too.

Me too, and that was a replacement for my geforce 2 gts

Nothing wrong with that. I was using my 780 for a long fucking time.
It was still topping the charts for ages.
"Upgraded" to 1060 because it was cheap and roughly the same performance when my 780 went to die.

Then I wanted VR so bought 2070s

Xbox One X is already on par with a GTX 970. Series X and PS5 will most likely make Maxwell cards obselete, along with the 1050 Ti.

>Xbox One X is already on par with a GTX 970
but 970 can do 60fps 1080p on many games

>still rocking a 980 ti

best card I've ever bought. i'm replacing it in few days but it lasted me 5 years and gave great performance.

>tfw the 970 was so good they had to knee cap it twice

Not when paired with a 8c netbook CPU at 1.75ghz.

>tfw 770
>It's still alright at 1080p

Thinking about upgrading my 970. Should I consider 20xx?

My experience with it on windows wasn't great, but it actually runs better on linux even though you have to force it to use the amdgpu drivers.

No.
30xx is right around the corner, likely at the same time as AMD to dab on them.
RDNA2 is coming before the new consoles which release in november.

If you need a card today (because your 970 died or something) then buy today, if you're just upgrading it like 2 months until new cards. Even if you end up with a 20XX, you'll get it cheaper.

Playing monster hunter world with 770 is suffering, though that might be more because of my cpu
Still, can't wait for 3060

MHW is core hungry for sure, but that GPU probably isn't doing you any favors.

wonder how long my 1070 and i7 6700k will last

I got a 1080. Should I stick with it or upgrade? cause my 144hz 1440p ultrawide monitor's coming and I don't know if I can run most games with this

Attached: 1454127087475.png (470x454, 10.83K)

What about it? I have a 970 too and I can still run games like Assassins Creed on High with no problems.
Literally no reason to upgrade yet to be honest

Do you think Zen 3 and Ampere will be priced fairly?
