I love this game
I love this game
I feel like all Devolver Digital games are slightly more than tech demos.
Pretty good. I recently unlocked the big blob with red health bar but the game constantly forces me to play as the web-shooting pussyass small blob and I have to fight those annoying drones so I'm letting the game rest for a while. Playing Noita instead.
It's not that hard, just bust into a room and spam web on everything.
Good game, but I feel it would be better if it was more combat oriented
Was good till the last level.
I really don't think a power up should be forced to be used to get passed a insta kill device.
I'm in the armored warfare or whatever it's called section, there's drones and mechs everywhere, I think I'm nearing the game's end.
And I'm talking the small grey drones you have to fight in tight spaces and they take both the web and your tentacle to defeat, plus the game always spawns them in groups. It's just annoying, I'm gonna have to power thru one of these days.
Use second form and throw spikes at them
You are forced into the bloody first form by laser fuckery, I could easily trash them with second form but it's not an option.
just keep spamming web on the drones
shoot your web cum
It just sticks them to the wall temporarily, doesn't hurt them. And you can only do one at a time.
i spammed web on them and killed them without even using tentacle
Damn if it turns out the web moneyshot does damage I've been using it wrong the whole game. Thought it just immobilised enemies for a short while.
it doesn't do damage, what he's likely referring to is when you spam web at them when they all congregate in the same spot while chasing you, pretty sure the damage is coming from them colliding with each other, and explains why that stops working when there's only one or two left.
It was okay. It absolutely overstayed its welcome by the end, but thankfully it was indeed the end.
Carrion is a puzzle game more than anything. It makes sense that you need to use new powers to crack the room's puzzle.
They publish inde games, that's all you get. Carrion is this year's My Friend Pedro
>puzzle
Game gives you a new power up, can't wait to use it in action, it's a defense power up, only use it solely for mines that latch on to you, electric grid always right before them so you are at full power.
Riiiight...puzzle.
Just a stupid mechanic that would had been better with it gone. At least the giant corkscrew plugs make sense. They open a new ways back and forth and feel nice.
the puzzle is using them to destroy walls and sometimes enemies
General consensus is it's good but overpriced.
I got stuck at a part with a trip mine on level 2 or 3 and haven't played it since.
Gamepass my friend
Like two times. It's a stupid power up that has no reason being in the game except to slow you down and make you "think" You hardly get to use it in combat cause the game is constantly making you downgrade in later sections to be puzzles, and you got the giant needles that latch on to things anyways.
You are right in that it is a puzzle, but that puzzle literally is Shock yourself, move through mine, hit r1.
I could do without it.
I never said it was a deep or cerebral puzzle game, just that it's a puzzle game. Holding a button to become invincible to survive a mine explosion isn't interesting or tough, I agree. That's why I'd rate the game a 6 out of 10. There really isn't much to it.

>Holding a button to become invincible to survive a mine explosion isn't interesting
>isn't interesting
OK, good thing we agree.
Cause once I got to that part, the game started to slow down for me and felt meh
Please tell me you are just baiting.
I made it, turns out you can sneak around them, use your brain probe to fuck a soldier and then mount one of the mechs. Mech go brrrr.
What's the second prehensile tentacle for?
Devolver really has to start asking for a bit more from the developers of the games they publish.
Great premises or ideas mean nothing if you beat them in 1 sitting with absolutely no replay value
Enter the Gungeon was oddly enough their best published game in a long time.
It's an optional powerup. You get a third one later if you find it.
All that happens is when you hold R2 to send out a tentacle, a second (or third) one goes out simultaneously so you can grab 2 or 3 things at once. You'll honestly never really notice you even have it.
Played through it twice. I like how where you start the game is where the game ends.
Side note, why is getting the extras so pointless? Like not even a different ending or anything.
Not him but I used my cheap gamepass offer on Outer Worlds
