I'm in the middle of my first playthrough. I'm playing P5R. I never played vanilla please no spoilers.
Anyways, I'm in the middle of September. I've been avoiding S. Links I actually want to do so I can get Star/Moon/Temp/Sun/Counselor out of the way but it feels kinda shitty that they locked the best "abilities" behind these Confidants instead of the ones that progress naturally through the story. Moon/Temp/. are okay I guess but not the best and Star/Sun.Counselor have been a slog.
I want to focus on other Confidants but it feels like my hands are tied. I wanted to focus on S. Links in P5 because I wasted too much time raising social stats in P3/P4 that I wasn't able to finish S. Links I cared about. Now it feels like I'm going to run out of time again before I get to finish the ones I'm interested in. Maybe I'm stressing out for no reason and there's more than enough time but it's kind of affecting my enjoyment.
