Are you just looking for something new?

Shroud of the avatar fucking sucks dont fall for this threads owners and their jewish tricks

OP is Crowfall though

This is a bait to get them to convince you to play shroud of the avatar

Because that good MMO was XI and a game like that will never be made again so what's the point

Modern industry atmosphere simply wouldnt allow for a proper MMO anymore, they've been phased out. My only hope is that VR somehow makes the genre relevant again

I spent the entire day playing it. Right now I'm just way too sleepy so I just closed it.

I kinda wanna try out Anarchy Online, is there any point in playing it still? Or has it become garbage like a lot of older mmos?

I know a friend who still unironically opens that game every now and again.

It's still there so fuck it why not try, isn't it free now anyways?

What game is that?

Beaterbutter is a fucking JEW

Because it was WoW Vanilla back in actual Vanilla, when everyone was bad and had dog shit computers and internet connection, and it wasn't a "solved" game even by the end of it

My old Vanilla bros started playing when it came out, and the first Rag kill was pretty much as soon as it was available, done by level 58s in greens, because years of private server and modern information sharing/autism and practice throughout other WoW expansions has turned it into a solved game

Based

So accurate it's painful. Never heard the term "solved game" before, but damn if it doesn't fit. Particularly for MMOs. It's all efficiency farming for higher numbers now. The adventure, wonder, and discovery, all killed by wikis and YouTube. God forbid you want to play something blind, or even just in a sub-optimal way.

It's over, and I don't think we can go back bros.

Newer MMO's that are niche have that mystery, but WoW never really had that mystery because it was so popular.

It was solved in 2005 and it's still going to be solved today.

>Why aren't you playing your favorite MMO right now user?
because I'm gonna play it in 40 minutes with friends

i don't have any.

i wanted to get into wow but kinda afraid that everyone will just scoff at the fact i'd be a complete and utter retard who is new to the game and i won't be able to do anything, plus i subbed one time, leveled up until like 20 but i got confused with the idea of dungeons, like should i do them or just stick to doing quests?

classic was more fun and direct in that sense because it's not like you get to a certain level then have 3 different dungeons at a click of a button, i actually needed to group up, prepare, etc so it felt more like an actual adventure than just a task i wanted to complete so even if it was better if i had just kept questing it was still fun to do it just because. didn't get very far past that tho i don't think

tried gw2 and honestly just got bored

bdo was the one i got the furthest in, up to level 55, but you're just dumped so many features that i don't even know where to grab anything from, the only thing i really got into was farming but there's plenty in that game that i still have no fucking clue what the fuck it's even for, plus i kept on getting constant boosts, items that gave me boosts, those stones so i could improve my weapons, or things that would drop those stones, shitload of tokens for different events, etc and the game just turned into travelling across the map filling up bank spaces, travelling back, doing what i actually needed to do, getting full of shit again, and travelling around filling up banks again and i just got bored before i even got to the pvp, plus desu the game was overall kinda boring

kinda sucks because i seriously think the genre can be fun if done correctly but every game i try just has 1 massive catch or several different ones, might get into classic wow again if i get a friend to level with

I wanna return to XIV but im bummed I wont get content that interests me until 5.35.

Haven't played in a few days cause I've been focused on helping friends with stuff.

>It was solved in 2005 and it's still going to be solved today.
If you think it was solved in 2005, then by comparison today it would be played entirely by trained AI who operate at 100% efficiency and aren't programmed to have fun

I'm playing Vindictus. Lethor is cool and fun.

>MMO's

That's fine user, real life is important.

I mean I want to give it a fair shake, I love FF, but man the combat and the MSQ is so dogshit, even with the trimming they're doing to it soon idk if it's something I'll be able to stick to

ruined by the devs retarded "vision"

What kind of game do you want out of it? Those are all themepark MMO's and it's just about hitting max and grinding gear, that might not be for you.

Niche and MMO don't jell though. They're all fun to start, but once the meta sets in, and the grind becomes rote, it's hard to enjoy.

is it too late to start vindictus

Probably not be but ready, it's still Nexon in charge, but last time I played maplestory live I didn't hate it so yeah.

I don't think that's true, but what games have you played that are indie mmo's?

idk

the closest thing i got to something more what i think would be more fun was archeage back when it was in beta, i had a blast with that, but they up and fucked the game beyond repair that even when they re-released the "fixed" version nobody really gave a shit and they ended up fucking it up any way.

so i think a mix of sandbox and themepark fit me best from what i interpret from my experiences

Im playing JRPGs on my backlog because thats a better use of my times than mmos. The only 3 im looking forward too are genshin, blue protocol and crimson desert. that 3d dungeon fighter looks good but i know its never coming out

because i already completed FFXI and i'm now waiting for the nexon mobile remake which will surely be good.

>Why aren't you playing your favorite MMO right now user?
because I've recognized that 90% of the time I spend in mmos is barely "fun", I'm nearing 30 and can't justify devoting any more time to something that adds nothing to my life

Because I'm literally asleep. Just taking a quick pee break.
Gonna keep on leveling my hunter on classic later.

You got up enough to post here and fall back asleep after a piss?
