Bad cutscenes and first person aiming makes it too easy

Just don't use first person.

It's not Metal Gear Rising

it changed the duel music for the bosses

Bad cutscenes are a meme response.

It looks and sounds worse than the original. It has a higher polygon count, but the textures and color palette are bland and sterile looking; there's a paucity of color variation. That's my biggest issue with it. It doesn't otherwise do anything of interest the original didn't, so there's no real point to it. It's as perfunctory as it gets.

Besides the normal complaints about cutscenes and first person, I'd say it lessens the impact MGS2 has on you if you play TTS first.

So does the infinite ammo.

You only unlock the bandana after beating the game and Ocelot's torture minigame.

But after that point, you're required to use it. Which ruins the game.

Utter dogshit compared to the original. Completely ruins the gameplay, outstanding atmosphere, color palate, cutscenes, and original artstyle.

Sorry Twin Snakes retards. I will never stop shitting on your trash remake.

Your reply is a meme response

My disc 2 has rotted away and my disc 1 is going the same route.

If it's this one, between the cutscenes, first person aiming that makes the game far too easy, voice acting changes and people redoing their lines, as well as redoing the music which is awful in TS and lighting, overall results in a game that while, graphically superior in aspects, also completely sucks out the original MGSs sense of atmospheric dread and uncertainity and grime. It's too clean, too warm, too over the top, for a game already very stylized.

Even things like MGS1's voice recordings having lots of reverb actually often helps sell the environment, since for example, having that reverb in the audio helps sell a factory pier in a cave, and the sense of being in a very metallic environment than the super clean audio.

Twin snakes is just one of the worst, if not the worst in the series because of how insanely unnecessary it was to remake something and shit out a drastically inferior product.

Give me a quick rundown on Twin Snakes, is it canpn?

Twin Snakes is elite. It’s even in HD now. It’s the only one worth playing (and still stands the test of time).

This game deserves a remake.

>It's too clean
It's set in a nuclear science facility.
TTS feels colder to me, too. Like the plastic sheen from that gen seems colder compared to the fuzzy blockiness of older stuff.

None of your NPC opinions are good here.

But new = bad and old = good!

Not enough Encounter playing.

I'd say the only bad thing about it is that the music is forgettable. Not bad per se, but forgettable and a bit bland

Assblasted sonytrannie

It's a nuclear disposal facility, that's the cover at least, and while being ultra clean in the labs would make sense, something like the tank hangers and stuff, not so much. And part of the whole thing is Baker telling you about how bad the disposal facilities are, nuclear waste stacked up high, barrels are rusted and leaking, ect.

But also for thematic reasons as well, as bluring things and muddying them fits in with all the distrust between you as Snake and the radio team, Naomi, who's pulling your strings, getting double crossed, ect. It's dirty in the physical setting reflecting how it's dirty among the characters as well.

It’s the remake of the original Metal Gear Solid.

It's more in line with the rest of the MGS series than the original is.

I played MGS on the PS1 in '98 or '99 and never played the Nintendo version but from what I heard the Nintendo version has worst voice acting. I will never accept anything else than the og MGS voice acting. It was perfect.

no flaws persay, I just like the looks of og metal gear more

that sucks man, at least we'll always have dolphin

I unironically like TTS better than MGS2 and I played MGS2 first.

I agree with you. I like og mgs1 more than either though

>Born in America Mei Ling speaks in ching chong nip nong
>Perfect

There isn't enough Liquid Snake

its still a good performance though. Plus the colonel sounds like the colonel and not the ai colonel

brainlets can't handle that twin snakes is basically the game version of the in universe book, making snake out to be a super human

assblasted tranny

some believe that this is the version of the Shadow Moses incident Raiden trained with in VR
