It's not terrible but it's not a Splinter Cell game.

Kek

was this the original sequel we didn't want that started the trend or was there an earlier notable normie-lization of a vidja series I'm forgetting about?

I thoroughly enjoyed it and blacklist

Kobin's Mansion and that daylight level in the D.C. cafe are the only ones that felt like true Splinter Cell gameplay.

i really liked this game although i can understand why people dont like it. its like the skyrim of the splinter cell franchise

>and blacklist
WHAT

No, it was the inception of the cancer that killed Splinter Cell. The only reason it doesn't get more hate is because Blacklist exists.

>because Blacklist exists.
what's that supposed to mean?

i thought Zig Forums generally enjoyed blacklist, at least thats what i remember about the reception of it at the time. the only thing people hated was of course that michael ironside wasnt voicing sam.

that's the general consensus. blacklist is much better than conviction

Pretty cool TPS with a for the time really well done movement system
Shame they never built on that to make a shooter/ass creed hybrid

They made the most action packed game in the series, and yet Sam's crouching speed is actually slower than in the classic games. Yes, it's fucking bad. You just constantly get ambushed, die and repeat the checkpoint, complete it easily now you know the scripted ambush is coming and repeat that a couple dozen times till the end of the game. The first level is actually pretty good because it gives you a Crysis style sandbox approach, and then the rest of the game never does that again.

Because Blacklist took essentially everything that sucked about Conviction and then doubled down on it. Oh sure, they tried to "bring back the stealth elements" but they did it in such a half-assed way that they might as well not have bothered.

>Blacklist took essentially everything that sucked about Conviction and then doubled down on it.
I saw your post while scrolling and felt compelled to call you a fucking retard because of how wrong you are.

nope, even liked it, but still think it would've been better if you could move bodies, but at least they came up with (even if lame) excuse, something like
>it's more dynamic gameplay

Why do you feel you need all this retarded revisionism? There was that gif of "DETECTED" and "Sam" running from missles and explosion all around; the fucking FPS missions and whatever; you really need to have everything good all the time, eh? Get mental help.

>retard calling others retards

If you think Blacklist is anything other than the worst damn game in the franchise, you are fucking braindead.

also, for lazy lurkers youtu.be/1OpHieQs4bQ , a bit on how bad blacklist is

Ohhhh I never heard about this game. What is it about? I'm checking and there are several games, it's series.

Is it SJW? Are the protagonists men? I was looking for Spy themed games. Tell tell me!

>>tfw you missed Fisher at the AIrport

Is there any way to get Pandora Tomorrow on PC nowadays? It's the only one on the series I've yet to play.

But it says Splinter Cell right there?
>a series' gameplay can't evolve to match its themes and character development
lmao splincels

That's because you run, slide, vault, and roll when you're in combat, not slowly crouch walk away like a retard.
>You just constantly get ambushed, die and repeat the checkpoint
No, you rarely get ambushed, then you John Wick the whole room with melee takedowns and slow motion headshots.

You are shit at video games. Stop whining and get good.

>31% dislike ratio
You have a better video right?

The co-op was fun and I enjoyed it.
I won, but I was sad.

Noone talks about Double agent failure

You crouch walk when you aren't in combat. You know, like a splinter cell game? You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Every splinter cell before had all the enemies preplaced in every level, which meant you were in control of whatever situation you put yourself into, with the exception of one or two times per game you'd get ambushed in some scripted set piece. You're a shitter who must have never played any of the good splinter cell's to defend this dog shit. Gee, i wonder why no one remembers this shit for anything but ruining splinter cell, but somehow I'm the retard? Go figure.

>I'm the retard
You really could have saved us both a lot of time and just typed that from that start.

Even Michael Ironside didn't like how psychotic they made Sam.

>is uncomfortable with being told to do things without knowing why from the very first game
>is uncomfortable with prioritizing his job over his daughter from the very first game
>his daughter dies while he's on a bullshit mission
>his government forces him to sacrifice the last shred of his humanity to take down a group of terrorists
>then they arrest him and try to charge him as a terrorist
>then he finds out they lied about his daughter being dead to get him to do the mission in the first place
>pretty much every single friend he had was just using and lying to him for years
Don't you think Sam has every right to be angry?

Yes but you have to resort to the original retail version with various fan patches
