How can you justify buying a video game when you don't own your own home?

Homes are for homos and shut-ins.

How can you say that you "own" a home when you are paying a mortgage?

Home ownership is not a reality for the majority of millenials so who fucking cares. Thanks Gentrification and the US government allowing chinks to buy up mass amounts of US property.

if you're paying rent for an apartment anyway what's the difference? at least you eventually own a house

Because homes are like £500'000 and video games are like £20

But I own a flat in 1M pop city user.
planning on buying building plot for house next year :^)

Don't need much space, prefer the flexibility of REITs.

video games are cheap, retard

you can extract all your payments out of your mortgage, fucking brainlet

Because posessions are cancer for the soul

>500000 bongs
god I wish, where I am a shithole 1300 sq ft townhouse goes for at LEAST $1.1 million USD

The ability to buy a house for most people is a function of credit score and income, not cash in hand.
Additionally, if you aren't planning on staying in an area for more than few years (the specific number depends on lots of factors, of course), then it's cheaper to rent an apartment for that time then deal with mortgage insurance, realtor costs, utilities that are normally included in apartment rent, etc.

It's good that you're trying to save, though, user. You'll get a house one day.

Califag?

Considering the current state of the housing market and the quality of modern homes in general, that's pretty easy to do.

Why hasn't the housing market crashed yet? Everyone is homeless or living with their parents into their thirties and forties.

>22
>Get free tuition due to my major (Special Needs Education)
>Save up $20,000 from age 18-22 as a down payment, buy a 2 bed, 2.5 bath house this past January
>Take out $15,000 of Federal Student Loans to cover mortgage payments during my senior year student teaching, still work 24 hours per week to cover bills that I split with wife
>Living the comfy life
When people tell me buying a house is hard I genuinely don't get it. You need a 650+ credit score and an area that fits your income, what the fuck is wrong with people our age?
Also, after teaching at a title one school for a certain amount of years, I can cancel my remaining federal loan debt, meaning free mortgage payments. I highly recommend gaming the system when you can

Or just move somewhere cheap. Oh wait then you can't talk to your cool trendy bulls and get guacamole toast.

Because no high schooler is ever taught this unless they go out of their way to learn it themselves

>married at 22
okay cleetus

Games cost a couple dozen dollars. Houses can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Hard working Chinese (and other forners, and Boomer pension funds) accumulate dollars, dollars need to be parked somewhere, they park them in real estate by exchanging the dollars for piles of mortgage debt.

We also can't cut down on the flow of new dollars into this system by raising interest rates because hoo boy, have we fucked ourselves royally and taken out a ton of debt.

>Home ownership is not a reality for the majority of millenials
monumental cope
I (previously made) 40k/year and live in a 1050sqft condo, with plenty of breathing room for guns and vidya

>Being a professional tard wrangler
You're a braver man than I, user. Sounds nice other than that though, nice job.

Zoomers are entitled and retarded, nothing new. Owning your home and becoming financially self-sufficient by 40 should be a priority for everyone.

Then you must live in a boring shithole like Utah where homes are cheap. I’m stuck in California where the homes are 600k+

shut the fuck up you brainwashed kiketard

Millennials were in the exact same situation just a decade ago and many still are

>move to a cheap bum town where there's either 56k internet or none at all. >need to drive 30 miles to the nearest town.

Lol flyover states need to nuke themselves or stick to farming

>I’m stuck in California where the homes are 600k+
oh, you are absolutely right, it is very boring here and you should stay as far away as possible

I'd love to burn bad parents at the stake. My folks didn't provide me anything after graduation but their frugality and overall jewish nature has helped me greatly.
Real talk? Every biography of every man I've ever read has involved them getting married, and getting married early to get a head start on building an efficient team and capital. I'm not trying to blaze a trail but I want to get the home management aspect of my life out of the way so I can focus on more degrees.
It's my penance for my sins, honest. Thank you for the well wishes.

I didn't knew monks could own wifi

Lots of areas in california with relatively cheaper housing. Even still, you don't get to live somewhere everyone wants to live and have it be cheap, thats not how it works.

because a house doesn't cost 60 euros. in fact enjoy buying a house...do you even know how expensive houses are? maybe a house costs as much as a video game in your shit hole country. also who said I buy games? if I could pirate a house I would

teach me how to make money
