Did video games die in 2007?
Did video games die in 2007?
no but your mom did
Clannad started the Moe Blob trend in 2004. Lucky Star was byproduct, not a catalyst.
i don't get clannad, its every soap opera ever but in anime form and it made brainlets tear up?
Is this real?
Yea
2011 oldfag here, i miss when we raided Tumblr
wtf how is the cat dancing
2009 oldfag here, I miss when you faggots weren't posting here

Even in 2011, only 5% of internet traffic was mobile and 33% of Americans owned smartphones.

Hardly noticable outside of Zig Forums due to Gurrenn Lagann spam

Things premiering at the time doesn't mean it suddenly automatically becomes popular in that time.

MySpace was only exceeded in worldwide visitors in 2008 and us visitors in 2009.

Just about any chart you'll find shows that Twitter's popularity exploded in 2009

>popularizing the moe boom
This meme doesn't become true just because you keep posting it, cgcdt was a thing well beforehand
>history channel going to shit, and CN cartoons getting cancelled for shit ones is culturally relevant
I have no idea why Out of Jimmy's Head keeps getting referenced as a somehow relevant show that helped kill everything. Also Toonami was already on death's door due to the internet making anime more accessible for fags via torrenting or streaming if you're gay long beforehand

Yes. Halo 3 was the last video game ever until gaming died completely
Nobody claims everything changed in the span of 12 months, 2007 just planted the seeds for years to come
moot's sperm here, i miss when this site didn't exist.
Part 1 is generic moe blob SOL. I won't even say part 2 was all that great but my teenage heart was so fucking invested in it that the conclusion had me crying like a bitch. Looking back on it, it's pretty average.
Even if all that stuff didn't take hold immediately, 2007 still had a different vibe to it I remember, like we were entering the future. 2000-2006 still had remnants of the 20th century lifestyle leftover.
Everything died in 2007
God damn.
I honestly didn't find that much to not like about windows vista itself, the worst part was noone making their damn software compatible or 64 bit, but when everything was compatible I couldn't find anything to complain about that didn't stick through to 7 and later.
i can't read the "history of anime" shit because its too fucking small
>It just lost its soul in 2007
>Died in 2012
We're in purgatory
2003 through 2005 it's when they started falling apart
The last good jrpg was made in 2007. 2007 is the last year of gaming soul imo.
2017 was the best year for games, period.
I wish i could have enjoyed 2007 alot more online, i didn't realize how shit everything was going to get. 13 years later everything online sucks.
I'd say 1995 is more accurate. 3D was the murder weapon, and Donkey Kong Country 3 was the final death rattle.
>2011 is now longer ago than 2003 was during 2011
Not even Clannad, but Azumanga Daioh. It was the first largely popular anime about cute girls doing cute things and nothing else.
is moe the gacha of anime?
during the 2008 finacial crisis a deal was struck with the inter-dimensional beings that help progress humanity, in order for them to give us a solution we had to sacrifice the souls of many humans. Now these soulless entities are running many different corporations on earth, enslaved to the inter dimensional beings
Moe was around since forever, it's impossible to even pin-point when it first appeared. So no.
the only thing i liked about this show is that it inspired someone to make a flash game where the girl playing the flute rips major ass and laughs about it. that was and still is the most cute thing that ever came out of these shows.
It was 2009 with the proliferation of smartphones. That's when the internet died, too.
so is gacha
That's not videogames. Gambling mechanics weren't mainstream until recently.
I enjoyed mass effect
