Ya I seen bebop and space dandy. Planetes is a good one but also real different. It's about a space debris clean up crew. I'd recommend that but it's nothing like logh. I want some semi realism space stuff.

Literally the entire series I was just waiting for Oberstein to be revealed as a traitor or something. I was pleasantly surprised by how based he was.

It's definitely one of those games where you enjoy tactical scenarios like Kessen where you have special characters to even the field as well formations and stuff to consider, I'd die to get my hands on it.

Kanata no Astra is a recent 1 cours that did space pretty well. More of a Star Trek than a Star Wars though.

Watch Arslan Senkai/ The heroic legend of Arslan. By the same guy who did LOTGH and the person who drew the manga also did Full metal Alchemist. One of my favorite shows, very underrated. Its not space though, pre Islamic Persia

Also can anyone tell me how the old LOTGH compares to the new one. I watched the new one's first season and it was kinda shit.

The general consensus is the old one is infinitely better but I thought they were both good. Up to ~ep 25 of the old one is 90% the same, with a few extra scenes, classical music, and of course the animation.
Id definitely recommend it, at least continuing where you left off in the story.

Alright, I'll watch it some day. Was just mostly disappointed with the pacing and lack of characteristics in the 2 main characters. They also talked about some events like you were supposed to already know about them which made it a little bit confusing.

I watched everything back to back so it's all kinda mushed together in my mind, but I'm pretty sure theres more character build up in the old one. When I saw the new one I kept thinking it should be called "Incompetence: the anime" but the old one didnt give me that feeling as much, but it was still there. Later on it's nice because there are competent people in charge but theres always the incompetent people in the background trying to fuck them, it's pretty tiresome.
