The fuck? Winter is literally the best chapter in the game. The end of autumn was also kino.

Nah it's fine. One of the best examples of story and gameplay meshing almost perfectly.

Part two is infinitely better.

I thought it was great. I don't really see how it's negatively affected the industry. I for one wish there were more focussed, linear story games. Instead we have hundreds of open world games with 'Ubisoft towers.'

Winter sucked. Playing as Ellie was the worst part of the game, easily. Look, not everyone has to agree with you guys, it's allowed. The story was boring, the ladder and pallet hunting was boring, the rinse repeat combat and zombie sections were boring. It was an OK game, but nothing special. Definitely not even close to being as good as Uncharted 2, ND's best game hand's down. All that said, I heard good things about the multiplayer, but never got a chance to try it because I rented the game and didn't have a code to play online.

tbf Grounded difficulty lets you know how useful and OP bottles and bricks are in the game.

It was good- a simple but well-written story, told very well.
The sequel is incredible... not as ideally paced as the original, but much more interesting and powerful. It's the perfect conclusion to Joel+Ellie's story, and I found myself compelled by the new characters too.

It's absolutely overrated but it's not entirely terrible. It has some strengths and attempts some cool stuff.

I unironically agree. imo tlou is intrinsically bad, it tries to transcend the idea of being a game, but without being fun. tlou tries to be the schindler's list of vidya and in a bad way. ''we don't use the word fun''', is the most idiotic and stupid thing neil fuckman has ever said, because he thinks that ellie's journey is not a joyride so the game shouldn't be fun. doom guy's journey also isn't a joyride and guess what? doom is a lot of fun, and the same thing I can say about dragon quest 5, ocarina of time, dragon quest 11, final fantasy 6, final fantasy 7, et al. These games are fun and the journey of the MC also isn't a joyride, far from it. neil fuckman and his game is everything we don't need in a single player game destilated into one dev and his game.

This, TLOU2 takes this point up a notch with Cuckman going full autismo mode with nobody there to tell him no. He's just sticking to the sentiment that misery is profound when I'm just trying to enjoy the ride. I've never seen a bigger fall from grace than with Naughty Dog.

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove? I love both games to death yet even I wasn't motivated to go find all the comics or whatever. If I think a game is trash, I stop playing it. It can't be that bad if it held your attention for so long.

This is unfortunately true, if their sales started slipping Naughty Dog would most likely be forced to make a fun game. We'll never get a Jak 4 though.

When you complete the game on a given difficulty you get the trophies for all the difficulties below it too. So the "easy" trophy really means "easy or above".
