Since Microsoft is going all in on Gamepass and Xcloud, how long until we hear the phrase "gamepass exclusive"?
I don't think this is a far fetchex idea and would be really smart on microsofts part but also poisonous.

I don't think they would do that when they could have something on gamepass AND allow people to buy it.
Maybe for games like Warframe or PSO2 they would have exclusive bundles or skins.

The only reason I think they would do it is to attract more people to subscribe gamepass. I think in the future we are going to see content exclusive to gamepass.

A gamepass exclusive would mean a game with a subscription fee, something already accepted by the marker (WoW, TES Online, and others).
The plus side is that you will have access to many other games, for as long as you are subscribed to the service.
If that becomes the norm, though, then it would be poisonous.

Probably not long. I expect them to merge live gold, gamepass, and xcloud under a new generic Microsoft subscription and we'll see xcloud-exclusive games like Google did with stadia that no one but me knows about since I was the only person who ever tried stadia.
