Yes, it's worth it. Play on Maniac. Updates to guns are based. Newly difficult Okumura fight is based. More free time at night is based. Kichijoji (new area to explore) is based. Upgrades to technical damage and status effects are based. Mementos updates are based. Third tier personas for party members are based. As most of all, the third semester/palace is really wonderful. Overall, I highly recommend. P5R should definitely be considered the canon version of the game. Huge improvement.

Marie since Kasumi has an actual personality, even if it is all over the place. However, Marie actually fulfilled a role in the story, whether anyone liked that or not, so she wasn't a pointless character, unlike Kasumi, who effectively is. Thinking about it for like 10 seconds brings about a number of other ways they could have written Maruki into his ultimate role without Kasumi, so she legitimately served no purpose. Might have been a cool addition if she weren't only playable for literally one palace.
Jusging from the videos, she isn't.
