Kingdom hearts

>XEHANORT gets a happy ending
>the shitty hamfisted mobile-game cat gets a happy ending
>Riku gets his own not-Kairi to court
>Xion gets a happy ending when she's inconsequential to the plot
>Saix gets a happy ending
>BBS's trio are all abruptly rescued and get a happy ending in the same game
>Kairi finally gets a small shred of character development and some alone-time with Sora
>Sora gets thrown out on his ass somewhere into the universe for abusing time-travel, about the only way to salvage the shit-show that was the final clash
>Loses the power to follow hearts for "using it improperly", more or less designed to keep him from getting home easily after getting sucked through Kingdom Hearts' airlock
>has been lost for over a year
Being Sora is suffering

Don't forget the biggest one:
>literally saves the multiverse three times in a row and still gets treated like a shitbrained novice

I almost like that this is the case, just so in gameplay you can shit on everyone. Aqua being a keyblade master controls like shit when compared to Sora, who despite Nomura trying his best to shit on still whoops everyone's ass

Cutscene to gameplay makes no fucking sense in kingdom hearts, gameplay Sora may as well be a different character

I'm still mad that they paired Namine and Riku. I really liked how her and Roxas interacted at the start of 2 and how they had the whole "we'll see eachother when they look in eachother's eyes" shit.

Funny enough the only characters I really thought were all that engaging besides Sora to play as were Roxas and Kairi, Roxas was a nice little slice of the old Valor Form to try out in KH3 and Kairi functions like a mishmash of Spellweaver Aqua and KH1 Sora with her own variant of Sonic Blade

Too bad, love Xion.

Xion being written in is probably why they gave up on that, suddenly Roxas has a second Kairi off-shoot that he's intrinsically more tied to and gets a long time to get to know and chew it over with. Roxas and Namine would probably be better in the long run since they're supposed to be direct parallels of Sora and Kairi but too bad fuck you, Roxas and Xion which are parallels of Sora and Sora.

As soon as they made Nobodies have their own hearts they had to commit with them being their own individual, or else that line would be just as confusing if they never went out of Sora and Kairi. Basically Nomura plans nothing of narritive conhension and this is the result

It's funny that the Keyblade masters, the strongest out of the guardians of light, are the least interesting/effective to play as. Roxas may as well be a nobody (pun intended) who just uses keyblades with no proper training and Kairi has no combat experience

Xion being revived invalidates the tragedy of her.

Yeah it's really weird. I get that Xion and Roxas know eachother better but you could see the fact that Roxas and Namine mirrored Sora and Kairi's feelings, because they were part of them.

This probably sounds retarded but I just thought it was a romantic idea.

KH3 seems like it just needed more time in the oven if they wanted to include things like playable characters that weren't Sora, more than one Situation Gauge result and one elemental spell + Curaga at the least.

KH3 would have been amazing if it had been sort of like BBS where Riku and Kairi got playable sections in the RoD and Merlin's training dimension.

Thankfully we get some Kairi stuff in MoM, although not playable at least we get her backstory and stuff.

Wasn't Roxas always considered a prime badass?

Though honestly I appreciate that out of all the keyblade users Sora seems to favour brute strength with how he uses his.

I still want my Mickey game damnit.

Roxas is an excellent Keyblade wielder by virtue of being descended from Sora, getting Sora on the Organization's side was pretty much their primary goal all the way between Chain of Memories and the end of KH2 on the timeline. it's usually the villains that actually acknowledge Sora is unholy powerful while the people on Sora's side try to treat him like a kid.

How do you go from this...

They do? Most of the time their conversations are "muhahaha stupid kid, you have no idea how out classed you are" when they're not making a monologue about Darkness or whatever

This, even Maleficent and fucking Pete shat on him in Olympus to facilitate Nomura's terrible writing.

Don't Think Twice is good tho

Skip to 2:38 and try to tell me that.

Then when they die they acknowledge him, half the time it seems like they're galvanized by whatever plan they're about to put through being at its end-stages. Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days in particular are long, drawn-out acknowledgments that Sora is a critical asset, to the point of Days introducing Xion as a cheap ploy to siphon off Roxas and have a more loyal version of Sora around.

Oh and KH3D too, wahaha we were able to track you through the X on your shirt Sora! We're gonna put Xehanort's heart into you Sora! I'M XEHANORT-SORAAAA

Yep, still like it.

>tfw you've beaten all kh3 data org fights and Yozora on critical and know how fucking kino the dlc is
Seriously having that many quality boss fights in a single room should be a crime.

Kinda funny how Riku, Mickey and Aqua are all "masters" but are essentially useless and job when they're needed most (Though Mickey redeems himself in Re:Mind) while Sora and Terra, the two wielders who are denied the titled and consdered idiots, are tow two strongest wielders of them all who consistently kick Xehanort's ass and save everyone else's asses every time.

KH3 should've just been Sora and Lingering Will meeting again, joining up and goign absolute apeshit on everyone until Terra is restored and then continuing the rampage until they both take out Master Xehanort together.

Everything after KH2 was a mistake, easiest conclusion.

>When people dislike you and see that you're down they shit on you to make you feel even worse
seems about right

Them recognizing his strength after fucking dying doesn't mean much, nor does using him as a living resource witch has less to do with his actual strength and more with Ventus hiding in it and being a keyblade wielder at all and thus convenient.

They made a repica of Riku too that got shafted for stupid reasons,

It's like an apology for ReMind being really blah and just being sold half of the ending.

I mean, his friends also do it the whole time throughout the game, too. It's like they all forgot that none of them would even be alive if it wasn't for all he did on both fo his journeys.

Should've let them all stay dead.

Roxas was written at the time of Chain of Memories, I sincerely doubt that the BBS trio were. Though back during Chain of Memories they were probably still on board with there only being the one Keyblade.

I never understood why situational commands for magic ended up being bland ass nukes versions instead of something like DDD where you could actually use offensive abilities imbued with spells, If they just fucking went with that idea I bet the MP bar wouldn't have been raped as hard as it did on Critical.

Yeah but then a little bit later he's smashing huge fucking heartless golems and even titans. There's this massive disconnect between what people say is going on and what actually is.

Does it fucking matter? Point of it is, Sora was little more than a means to an end.
