Why can't FE just be like the Ashen Wolves Dlc? No stupid side quests, no tea time, no marriages, no level grinding, just pure unadulterated strategy maps one after another.

I've always seen people say that Conquest has better maps than Birthright but a worse story. I honestly don't get why that is. I've played Fates recently and I thought Conquest's story was way better.

The only bit of the 'story' that Conquest has over Birthright are the royals, since they are mostly better characters. Mostly.

I really liked the main game but the dlc is such a let down, I wish they had just at the very least merged the story dlc in with the main game with side missions and shit to do during the first half of the game

It's ok but nowhere near worth half the cost of the full game. It gives you a short additional scenerio with a few chapters and more linear but harder battles and then you can unlock the characters and some new shops for the main game.
