Remaster without the fucking online

>remaster without the fucking online

What's the point?

money

I thought people were sick of online multiplayer and just want some alone time.

>Maybe so but that doesn't describe Call of Duty.

That is neither here nor there. Now if you want to discuss THAT we can...

They want everyone on Warzone for the foreseeable future I imagine.

Wasn't it just made as an addon for the Modern Warfare reboot, bet they'll do the same for 3 when the new one comes out

because they know it would kill numodern warfare. can't have people playing something that isn't chockful of microtransactions

No, it's its own thing. You can get bonuses in MW for buying it, though.

They're saving it for the next disastrous Treyarch or Sledgehammer game. MW2019 multiplayer is doing very well and they don't want to upset that

>They're saving it for the next disastrous Treyarch

Pretty sure people are begging for a new Treyarch installment after MW proved how inept IW is at map design.

Singleplayer games are the best.

Yeah I can't wait to go back to three hallways with almost no variation that Treyarch consistently delivers. Arsenal is possibly one of the least imaginative maps created in any COD game.

The campaign is the best part.

>the online
Is that how zoomers speak?

Three-lane maps are seen as a solution to people camping. If you design a map to be more realistic with several pathways around the map, you inevitably invite people to find spots they can just zone and idle on because you can't have eyes everywhere. At least linear maps focus on a deliberate flow of battle.

They said there's no point in releasing an online because that will just split the playerbase between MW and MW2, so instead they released the campaign alone and will continue adding MW2 and 3 maps to MWR.

MW2019 fundamentally has three lane maps, they're just not hallways like in Treyarch maps. They actually attempted to dress them up a bit with buildings, stairs, and other points of interest. Treyarch wasn't even trying in Black Ops 4.

>three hallways
I hated that so much in BO3, with all those jumps and speed
>run through the lane
>get 2 frags,
>turn around to not be shoot in the back by respawning player
>get 2 frags
>turn around....
>repeat till you die
Did something changed in map design in WW2, or is it still the same?

>MW2019 fundamentally has three lane maps

SOME are. St. Petrograd, Shoot House, and Azhir Cave could be seen as such but then you have spread out maps like Grazna Raid or Picadilly that have no real discernible path through them.

Arklov Peak is somewhere in the middle. It's like a really wide three-lane map.

Treyarch is still pumping out that garbage as recently as BO4. The other developers are creating maps with more variety thankfully.

>cherry picking
It’s strictly only the campaign; releasing a new COD MP amidst their current release would sabotage sales and play numbers. At the end of the day, they’re a business; all they care about is money and numbers. I’m thinking that they’ll release the multiplayer as their next instalment, or something similar (as current COD is a remaster of COD4).

You might not agree with it, but the majority of people do, and the profits support that. Don’t expect massive corporations to tailor to your every opinion - you’re not special.

I feel like I've read these exact same replies a few years ago with images and all. Is this posted by a bot or did I get fucked in a time loop?

Should i bother trying the ps4 port? i only ever played the remastered of 1 which was also on plus it was alright

This. I don't think a new COD is even coming out this year so they want to continue to make that the focus.

it was already leaked on psn, xbox and doritos.
It's Black Ops Cold War

Honestly I actually wouldn't mind them bouncing a year. The seasonal releases of MW have been a godsend as far as keeping the game going (even though it bloats the size of the game unreasonably).

terminal is a three lane map

MW2 singleplayer was kino

Doesn't mean it's releasing this year.

Posted by human (me), so you might just be having deja vu

>campaign by itself is 50gb
Fucking why

Hey guys don't worry! CoD will be good this year!

Boots are back on the ground!

It'll be different this time! I swear its good now!

MW2019 is pretty good, a definite return to form. What a shock, when you actually put effort into the game instead of shitting out a slightly modified version of the previous year's game, it turns out well. It's nice to see Activisions cynical treatment of the series finally caught up with them and they were forced to try for once.
