My best friend is black, and ultimately a real cool dude. He's nerdy, loves vidya, smart as all hell, but his weakness is that he craves to be a thug so much, that he lets it cloud his judgement. The moment he got a real job, he went all out in buying a Hellcat with a ridiculous interest rate, which crippled him financially for a long time. If that wasn't enough, every time he gets a paycheck, he always adds or mods or does different things to his car, usually burning through thousands of dollars just to have the car sound like it's farting all the way down the street. The moment he was almost done paying that, he turns around and buys a Porsche and repeats the whole process. All the meanwhile, he got talked into a marriage with a thot that got knocked up and is now taking away half his pay.
This a cool guy, nice person, he's young with a money job, but lives like a starvin marvin simply because he can't quit trying to hood, which he never was because he grew up in a rich family. I guess what gets under my skin the most is that he's happy living like that, though.

I know you're shitposting but I do agree that the desire for wealth isn't just a black thing, since gold has been sought after across all cultures and creeds for millennia.
