I like this idea to for things it's applicable to(fightan or series with different protags per entry alongside mascot and reoccurring. So Darkstalkers would work, FF would work, hell series with a protag already in would work like LoZ) or they could just do it per company. Like have a Capcom character announced and show all the options.
