For real, most of us assume that in the timeline where Covid never happen, we would be on our third character reveal by now, just like last year. So, in theory a reveal could happen at any minute now... but not during this event.
Unless Capcom, Namco, Arc Sys, Koei and SNK, ALL have a character to reveal, and Sakurai comes to stage as surprise guest to give us the news, plus the first of the reveals, it makes no sense for a Smash announcement to be made here, even if Namco is involve in it's development. The only possible announcement would be Namco to announce an improved Net Code for Smash, and that's not happening.
