What was the biggest money you ever wasted yourself spending on a video game?
What was the biggest money you ever wasted yourself spending on a video game?
Bought a PS4, I thought it would have anything else besides Bloodborne but nothing ever released, sold the piece of crap after some time.
Felt the same about the PS3, then bought a PS4 for Monhun before it got announced for PC. Now I feel the same about the PS4
Felt the same about the PS2, then bought a PS3, then bought a PS4. Now I feel the same about PS3 and PS4.
ok boomer
Several hundred on TF2 getting keys and trading hats, I’m glad I got out of that autistic shit and don’t buy skins anymore besides a Fortnite season pass once.
I bought the limited edition Halo 4 xbox 360 when I already had one just to get the unicorn armor dlc.
900 dollars on Realm of The Mad God
living in a tent doing conservation corp work, using my government stipend to buy mad candy consumables and lives in Candy Crush. thanks for the tax dollars chumps
$5000 on FGO. I wish I was joking.
At least I no longer play.
I bought The Outer Worlds. I played maybe three hours before I dropped it so hard because it was boring as hell.
Probably ni no kuni + the hardcover strategy guide
I only played the game for 5hrs tops.
PS4 for Monster Hunter World since I didn't want to wait for the PC verison. Only other games I have for it are Spiderman and Bloodborne and I didn't even play either one much.
If I spent that much I'd never stop playing.
Jesus Christ user control your spending
meanwhile my dumbass brain keeps wanting me to blow off $2500 to buy a gold coin from the early 1900’s as some sort of investment even though I know I wouldn’t sell it
Do not do it, those coins are famously scams and were not actually made in the 1900s.
>$5000
I take it you're seeing a therapist for that gambling addiction now?
about 30k in tf2, my inventory is now worth less than a dollar, cashed out back in mym
Explain please, I was thinking about buying one from a reputable coin dealer near me since I’ve bought plenty of NGCS Morgan silver dollars in the past.
TF2
post proof faggot
$40 on skyrim dlc
>tfw realizing I probably spent a bunch of my parents’ money on stupid avatar clothes on Xbox Live back in 2009
bought an xbone just for MCC on launch day, game was an absolute mess. most other next gen games really didn't do it for me. just kind of regressed and played 6th gen games until like 2017-2018, but built a PC to do it. still haven't touched it since. gave it to family but I bought maybe like 4 games max for it
I also bought a Japanese Dreamcast and a shit ton of games for a decent price before interest started peaking for the console, I was at a bit of a low point in my life and wanted to consoom retro to fill the void. bought over a dozen games, only played the Gundam arcade game port and crazy taxi on it. been sitting otherwise. every so often I think about grabbing a VGA box and giving it some love but I just don't have the time for all of that right now. Have also had some assorted retro consoles that I've bought and realize I disliked but I try to buy stuff at a price where I can make even if I sell it back so none of them were necessarily wastes of money
I bought a Dreamcast after getting laid off from my job a couple years ago, it‘s really great with an HDMI converter but I feel like I always go back to play Crazy Taxi anytime I turn it on.
I wish there were third party VMU’s out there with way more memory than 200 blocks.
Heccing heck

Does Twitch spending count?
Buying a game at full price online that I had on disc because I couldn't find the disc.
Destiny 2.
I pre-ordered the hundred dollar bundle, bought the season pass after the first one went out, then I bought the Shadowkeep dlc along with some other shit I had to have in order to start the Last Word quest, which I didn't finish because it required me to have a ultimate kill streak in crucible that decreased if you died no matter what the situation was.
I probably spent a total of $200 on that gambling/grinding simulator. The game was fun at first but then they made infusion almost impossible to do unless you grinded the game much more than most people did just to have the extra items that you now needed to upgrade one piece at a time. I didn't even finish the first half of Shadowkeep before I gave up and stop playing all together.
Spending my money on Steam.
I guess it's obvious what your parent's biggest waste of money was on.
buying divinity original sin 2 three times
in like 2003 i bought a one year runescape membership after i had beaten all the free quests. after 2 weeks i stopped playing the game altogether.
Fuck, I bought Steam too. You can't imagine how pissed I was when I found out you could get it for free.
Kys
Bought RDR2 when it came out on PC. What a piece of shit game.
