A Monster Hunter clone could be kino, maybe. You play as a customizable literal who instead of the main characters of course, with missions all around the world. The endgame could be fighting the giants.

I like that. Last stage should be the Italy mission, thou. If you go to the right places at the right time you can see the cameo and deaths of the main characters that died in that mission, maybe you could intervene and save them, maybe not, I don't know...

They make competent games, well polished games but I really wish people would stop with the "Platinum = CRAZUH!" A lot of times people shit on games like Nier because they expected it to play like Bayonetta or MGR, completely expecting something that was only in their head cannon. Enough.
I think one of the reasons why so many anime/manga based games suck is because they insist on retelling the same story of the source material even though it might lend itself that well to a videogame

Gantz in particular does have an amazing world to be explored with parallel stories, the possibilities are endless. The thing is, it really depends on the genre. If we are talking about multiplayer (MMO, battle royalle, huge lobbies, grind etc) where you build your own character, then you kinda lose the chance at a tightly written story. If you do something single player you can focus 100% on narrative and you don't even have to use the manga character, just please, PLEASE don't make a silent custom character MC...

The action of Gantz is so inconsistent, it fluctuates from heavy, grounded and borderline survival horror at the start to CUHRAYZEEE at the end with some characters...
well, they were just scrubs at the beginning, of course they'd struggle against fucking onion aliens since they didn't know the limits of their suits, though I'll admit it does get kinda crazy near the end and a bit inconsistent regarding the power of the suit.
still, they idea of a linear single-player story with your own NPC party is not bad. Perhaps there could be a bonus multiplayer mode for hunting down deadly shit. Imagine something like scheduled missions (each week for example)

It should be the very first game to succesfully transition between genres gradually throughout the story. It starts as survival horror, the controls are heavy, tank controls, every action is slow and deliberate, you die very fast. By the end it plays almost at the pace of DMC (not quite as CUHRAYZEE thou).
