no console has ever launched with games how are you still surprised by this

Switch launched with games

Obsessive consumerism

They'll buy it because of the brand's previous track record

PS2 and Dreamcast were pretty solid. Super Nintendo too.

You can watch those on youtube.

The BoneX is pretty much a steambox at this point, considering that MS is focussing all their effort towards making their games accessible on as many platforms as possible with their subscription service.
I don't really see the need to buy one in the near future, but I might pick one up down the road just to keep my XBox library alive.

A demo disc is fine too

because if you want one near launch you either have preordered months ago or you line up.
those are always out of stock for some time. there's games don't be silly, but it's mostly about getting new thing first.

other than timesplitters I don't remember a single ps2 launch title, Maybe their were other good ones. no clue about Dreamcast. And wasn't SNES just super mario world and f zero?

Consoomers, go figure.

Ridge Racer V, Dead or Alive 2, SSX, Tekken Tag, it had games.

And ya just fucking Mario World it blows your dick off alone unmatched until Dong Cunt 2.

They're a good long-term investment.

hmm fair enough there are more then I remembered. but still, that's not that many.I still stand by my though that launch titles have never really been crazy impressive

It's also a 4k player and some people want to play there games with higher frames and resolution

>Switch launched with games
You mean wii u ports.

>Why?
Because it has backwards compatibility, and because it makes little difference whether you buy it on launch or 5 months from launch.

And miss the gameplay?

What gameplay?

Cope.

No really. What gameplay?

>resident evil VIII - 60fps
Wasnt the trailer 20 fps or something?

So, you think that cinematics cancel the dozens of hours of gameplay?
You think TLOU2, or GOT don't have any gameplay? you think a 10 minute cinematic cancels the 20+ hours of gameplay? Honestly?
memes aside.
Not it doesn't.

>this level of cope

not an argument. The memes don't hide the level of cope that you are going through.

Enough shitposting, go play your 199938328th match of CSGO. Real gameplay.

The backward compatibility on sex makes me regret buying my games in ps3

Not him, but years ago when LoU came out I watched a lets play of it on youtube. I've now been playing it myself and it feels like the exact same experience.
Cinematic games don't seem to offer any kind of individual creativity through gameplay that results in increased enjoyment.
In LoU I have all these options for combat and none of them are really engaging or fun in any way. I can throw a molotov or a nail bomb instead of just shooting enemies in the face or running up and smacking them with a bat, but that is just boring.
The most enjoyment I get is just exploring and picking up items and that's extremely limited because the kind of stories that try to be told through these games cause them to be linear.

All this money gets put into making these open world games look beautiful but only from predetermined angles, so exploration amounts to walking down a hallway with the option of going into the occasional side room to grab a bag of doritos and a wet rag. You're also unable to impact the story in any meaningful way. Like that black kid that got bit by a zombie, you suddenly lose the ability to aim or shoot when that happens so you can't even try to save him.

Moving around in these games tends to also be dull.
The kinds of movement these games tend to employ is purposefully limiting because they don't want players getting off the conveyor belt of cinematic experiences. Great, I get to slowly walk from place to place, sometimes crouch, and I can only jump when the game tells me to. I can't forge my own path, I have to enter a scripted sequence of events to get over a ledge when I can see my own way up that won't work because it wasn't coded to allow me to climb it.

So it's boring movement and combat tied together with beautiful worlds that you can barely explore or interact with all so they can tell a story that is at its best when complete control is taken away from the player and delivered in a form that isn't gameplay.

I'm already tired of third person action adventure games and I find it strange that people keeping eating that Sony shit up so much game after game after game. Variety is a serious issue on the platform and I'm saying that as someone who really likes TLoU.

metal gear solid 2 was huge

bro third person game set on what makes up 90 percent of the earth?
THEY'RE ALL THE SAME!!!!
