really? did he turn up the speed? anyhow there's also Supreme Commander which is the spiritual successor to TA. A bit more refined in a lot of ways such as balancing but it doesn't quite have the same charm as TA imo.

Yeah I would agree. A lot of the charm of TA was just how cold it was. It's like everything human was striped and all that's left are these deadly war machines.

I liked to think that the Core Commander and the ARM commander were the last sentient beings left in the entire galaxy, and they fought simply because they hated each other.

TA actually had a lot of charm to it, it just had charm in the same way that Quake 1 did where it all came through the sound design and almost abstract models.
