For me it's Diablo 2
Which game had the most beautiful 2D graphics?
Other urls found in this thread:
Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana
both pale in comparison to legend of mana though
SNK
Knights of Honor
Heroes 2 and 3.
i love icewind dale it might have not the best graphics but overall atmosphere is top comfy
Pre rendered backgrounds look great, but they are kinda cheating
great taste but what about disciples - good example of imperfect but very cool artstyle
of course but that's one of strong points of isometric games - to be able to to have highly stylized, painting like assets
3D can't achieve this
oh shit, i replied to myself accidentally
it's what gives 2D its charm
Breath of Fire 4 and if we're counting newer games Rain World.
>great taste but what about disciples - good example of imperfect but very cool artstyle
I fucking love its unit graphics, but it falls short otherwise. The map is a bit messy and the city screens aren't as cool as HoMM's.
seconded. I liked ID more than BG exactly because of the atmosphere. It's comfy as hell
homm3 sprites never get old
yeah game is flawed but i love unit design
def the best pixel art game, have to agree
wish there was something that captures that feeling of low level party going through woods at the start of the game
so many wonder and possibilities ahead
FFTA2 looks pretty good
Brigador looks pretty damn good at times too.
For me, it's Rollercoaster Tycoon 2.
Here's the correct answer. Too bad that game will be forgotten forever and we will never EVER have high-res versions of anything in that pool of creativeness
Ori? Trine?

You're a dull boy, Billy.
Where the fuck is Waldo, help.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Ah, warm food at last.
I haven't played that yet, should do it soon.
Not really the most beautiful, but certainly the most atmospheric.
Disciples 2
