So why is the remake supposed to be bad again?

old = soul and good / new = soulless and bad
HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU EVEN HARM THAT?!!!!!
the original has a lot of charm and people are just understandably afraid the new team may fuck it all up
They could've done the most faithful remake ever and Zig Forums would still complain.
it doesn't even look like demon's souls
well they didn't, so I guess we'll never be able to test that hypothesis

Ok
I played Demon Souls recently so I'll throw my hat in the ring. Before that I had no opinion.
Changes:
Different artstyle (more high fantasy)
Decrease in fog
More foliage/detail
These changes are probably a good thing but they change the 'feel' of the world. Boletaria is supposed to be dying and is in the process of being consumed by "the colorless fog". Decreasing the amount of fog and increasing the amount of plant life kinda goes against that. Most of the artstyle changes look good but I don't like flamelurker (both original and remake look bad)
That said I don't see how people are excited for Demon's Souls. The game was more of a proof of concept than anything and literally every Dark Souls game is better. The only levels I liked in DeS were 1-3 and 3-2. Everything else was just ok and have been done better in later games [3-1 is beta Irithyll Dungeon, 5-1 is beta upper Blightown/The Gutter, etc.)
Me no like modern graphix on old game. Me no like game becuz look good.
First FF7Remake and now Demon Soul's, most based remakes and Zig Forums still seethes.
I'm not praying to some hook nosed desert kike, you jewish shill.
This is a bad opinion. All of DeS was great and the only other Souls game better than it is DaS and that is debatable if you're under the assumption that DaS is just a more polished DeS
Pray to Jesus goy!!
well DeS was a failed game Miyazaki picked up to try to salvage and DS1 was the game he wanted to make all along so no wonder DS1 is better than DeS
DeS is certainly more creative though, he was given free reign and it didn't matter if it failed so they could put in cool and interesting things even if they barely worked
don't know if it's going to be bad, but it changes the tone of the game a lot, e.g. the stark/raw utilitarian barracks becomes a fancy ornate castle with bright flags and flowery crests
>visual remake of the first game in a style of gameplay that continues to be refined and improved
This is my problem. I don't think I could die in DeS if its just a visual remake. Even touching up the AI wouldn't be enough. Enemies need new attacks, levels need to be added to.
OLD GOOD
NEW BAD
That's it.
This.
>They change nothing and just upgrade the graphics
>"They didn't change anything!"
>They change the outdated designs like they did here
>"They changed it too much!"
It's a different architectural style. Original Demons Souls is literally Beserk: The Game. Remake obviously is making it more similar to the Souls games that From made after DeS, that had a more gothic architecture and atmosphere.
According to whom? GOOD NEW, OLD BAD low-standard contrarians like and seem content, that seems like the kind of consumer Bluepoint was targeting specifically.
>5'11 vs 6'0
do you NEED a build geared towards pvp in order to win in these games? after something like 20 invasions in ds3 i havent won once, and thats the game that has all the shitters on it. id expect to at least get ONE kill
Real?
Because Bluepoint is fucking SHIT
people unironically miss brown and bloom
Yes. Copy and pasting completely inappropriate vegetation over every square meter of the map to try and compensate for the minimalism of the original geometry which doesn't fit with a modern graphics update is bad. They've increased the fidelity of the game by bumping up resolution and reducing the fog / blur that obscured the previous lack of detail in a dreamlike haze, but they don't have the artistic skill to fill that extra fidelity with new details that match the feel and quality of the original. It's like taking an old film, upsampling to high res, sticking filters all over it and then extrapolating it to 60fps from a 24fps source and pretending any of that is an improvement.
erm don't you know more = better???? how are they supposed to show off the power of the PS5 if every environment isn't cluttered with random shit?
>low-standard contrarians
Mate you're the only contrarians. Nobody said the old game was bad, but it's incredibly outdated. Nothing wrong with upgrading the visuals and giving updates to the bosses who need it.
I just want the 6th nexus stone area to be accessible, that's all. Other then that I see no reason to play this again with how much time I put into it back in high school.
Bluepoint has shown time and again they're not interested in keeping the original game's aesthetics and is more interested in just making everything look "better" even if it strays away from the creator's original vision.
>all this spergery because of some ferns
Christ
I actually think all of the remake stills look better than the original
If From had made DeS today it would look like this remake.
Is that right? Did you look at the new flamelurker and go "unga bunga me see generic fire rock monster in fantasy game!" and clap?
