It looks like shit compared to the GameCube version. Aesthetically it's a big step down in my opinion. This automatically makes it the worse version to me considering a good chunk of the game's charm is its visuals. It would seriously look better if it was just the original game upresed, same textures and everything.

Dolphin is there but I find the new map great. I think it's not that shit even though they fucked up the materials and used a fuckton of bloom.

Nintendoland.. And yeah, it really should.

If I had to spend a few hours playing a game console, and my options were restricted to the Wii U or the Virtua Boy, I would pick the Wii U. It’s not a hard choice at all. I could spend hours playing something decent on the Wii U, but after 15 minutes with the Virtua Boy I would be cross eyed with a pounding headache.

Smash 4 is a better game than Ultimate, from a gameplay mechanic standpoint. The HD Zelda ports are also nice.

The Zelda HD remasters are worth playing. People bitch about the graphics but the quality of life improvements and challenge modes make them superior easily.

Wii U was way better than people gave it credit for, but most of it's best games have been ported to Switch for obvious reasons.

Once Xenoblade, Pikmin, and 3D World gets on Switch it'll all be over.

WiiU will go down as a curiosity alongside the Virtual Boy. WiiU will always have an edge due to hackability though.

switch load times make it superior

As much as Splatoon 2's story mode is objectively better, it's strange Nintendo never released the original story mode as dlc in the same vein as Octo Expansion. Easy money.

I unironically loved the Wii u, lads
I bought it release month, I got the 3 for the price of 2 games target did to unload their backstock (got Pikmin 3, Mario kart 8, and wonderful 101)
The gamepad was so comfy, used to play games on that + watch television on the big screen
Miiverse was the best thing on the entire platform, and by far the best video game integration of social media
Having all the SNES games like earthbound, DKC 1 2 and 3, super punch out!, Super Metroid, etc.
God damn can we go back yet, everything is so streamlined and boring, Wii u had soul
